Famous or not so famous incoming messagesFollow

What is your favorite (or least favorite) incoming message, when a pull is on its way to your group/raid?

Examples of stuff I've seen:

"%t, is that your final answer?"
"%t grabbed my tail, ergo it dies... INC"

Not realy a puller message but for years my "Train" message has been

I always use " Incoming a %t, lets take it out like a fat kid in dodgeball"

Just something fun to get some conversations going in a group.

I always use an assist one, "assisting me redneck friend %t"

After the first time I use that one, I always get "Hey im not a redneck! lol"

It always seems to lighten the mood of the group.

I play a Monk and pull for a living.
I am also very no-nonsense which might mean no-fun to others.
Thus, these are my hotkeys:

<%T is next.>
<FD splitting. Wait for TAG message.>
<TAG a %T now>

All business.

"%t mezzed- QUIT ATTACKING YOU BASTARDS"
Strangely enough, this one seems to draw the most melee agro to the target. *Sigh*

Not an Incoming message, but an assist message from a pally on our server that i thought was really good,

"Assist me on a <%t>, I'm a Paladin so i had aggro before you ever saw it!!!"

That may not be word for word but you get the point.

My rogue pulls upon occasion, the inc line I use for him is:

"incoming %t, it caught me lifting it's wallet!"

a ranger in my guild has been know to use:

"Incoming train! This baby is express so don't bother trying to FD or gate!!!"

A gnome warrior in my guild uses:

"It puts the lotion on it's skin or it gets the gnome again!!"

Then there's my rogue's assist message:

"I've got my whiskey and your wallet, now what needs to die?"

Inc msg's, slow msg's etc can be fun ONCE.. After that they are only annoying if they are longer then "> %t < INC". I dislike long inc msg and if they are to long I allways tell people to cut it out.

Im goint to go with Bumbi on this one. They are fun for a few times, then its a bit old.
I will admi, however, that the inc message for Jonwin and Winjon
is "Circle the Wagons! A war party of %t is on the way."
Jonwin has always been played as a westerner as found in B movies, or Louis L'Amour novels.

I remember this one I saw from a human ranger in DL..

" Ok, inc %T ...get ready ya'all"
There was a pause
" OUCH! STOP IT!"
" I'm sorry %T that I said your mama looked like a Dark Elf!"

Now ordinarily it wouldnt have been funny, but there was Dark Elf cleric in our group who was being an extraordinary ******* when he wasnt afk. Man, I laughed so hard the tears rolled from my eyes..I could hardly wiggle my little wizzie fingers...

Also, this wasnt an inc message, but it was kinda funny at the time.

we were in DL and I was on my shammy. The Warrior went to pull and up came his inc message "INC %T Help me kill it before it eats me " . We all laughed because the warrior was a halfling or gnome..i forget which. A few seconds later we see this " Ok, also inc a few friends of %T "

Appartently as he was typing that, he ran past a few more friends so in all by the time he got back to camp we had 7 mobs tto come play. Ordinarily, you either run to zone or be brave and try to split and peel ( as was always in my experience), we chose to split and peel.

It didnt stop there. Each of the tanks. warrior, ranger, and bard each split and took one, the mage took another. The bard had one mezzed i think as well, all the while me and the druid were rooting and healing everyoine. When it was all said and done, no one had died..low on mana and all were low on hp, but it was done. I remember commenting " man that was a whole lotta ugly".. referring to how we handled the situation.

The bard replied " yes, but at least i am pretty"

We all had a good laugh.

It pains me to see you refer to a bard as "one of the tanks"...

(shudder)
