Isn't it boring to do the same mm over and over?

Isn't EQ about having fun?

EQ can be very time consuming and there is no pause button. When I get a good group in a regular zone, I can go a couple hours easy without breaks. This is very annoying to the wife. Doing MM like HHK, I have to pay attention to the game for 20 mins and then have 20-25 mins to do laundry, take out the garbage, talk to the wife, etc. MM have made my home life less stressful, while still enabling me to gain some AAs on my main.

I think alot of people are in the same boat, if it were not for the MM I would not be able to play at all except for a couple of times a month when I plan 3-4 uninterupted hours.

Is MM's any less fun than WoS in a full group of 70's?

It's just a series of trivial encounters that involve the players doing the same thing over and over again.

But if you want your 66-68 spells you pretty much have to do it. and you have to roll against the tanks since they know runes go for 8k a pop and right;y want in on the action.

MM are no less of a part of EQ now in respect that they are a tool to get AA (and in my case from 60-70) while waiting for a group in somewhere more interesting to come along.

Fhrugby said it perfectly...

For the small minority of players who work, have families, and responsibilities that take up a lot of our free time, MM's have been a godsend. They allow us to make some headwind into a level without the constant grind of hours and hours of endless mobs.

MM's allowed me to dust off my 55 chanter (now 56.4!) and get a few more AA's and even a level or two. Before, I was soloing Velks and watching for even the slightest movement of my exp bar. In 2 hours of game time I have leveled and pinged 2 AA points. This same accomplishment would have take me 10 hours in Velks doing it solo.

Can't wait till level 60 and KEI!!!! Amazingly that will allow my Chanter to go into semi-retirement as getting that spell was the reason I made an enchater in the first place.

lol.. if you are playing the version of EQ where you don't need an Enchanter.. Monster missions are just right for you.

I would give a finger to have an Enchanter like Mental Frog to take over from my gimp third box.

I do lots of group missions where other, better, Clerics fill in for Aumnyder (grudgingly). And sometimes they don't need me. But I can count on one finger the number of times Cachet has been un-needed (and that was a Tacvi geared Enchanter in the group).

I made her thinking the same thing.. KEI bot. I tried that for 2 days.. and no way am I doing that with my play time. I would rather eat sand.

But the utility an Enchanter offers.. having Cachet.. is the reason I multibox. I added Aumnyder out of a need for an everynight Cleric, I play Cachet because it's challenging and fun.

It just saddens me that people level a good class to turn it into a vending machine. Yes I've sold KEI in POK and yes it was boring as hell. I don't do it anymore because I'd rather be making money other ways. I made my enchanter because they looked fun. I have fun playing them and it disappoints me to see them used like whores. I understand boxing one when you need to fill a group but KEI whores... that's just wrong.

Who told you about me? Smiley: tongue

Chanters are a blast to play if you do it right. I die a lot and all my friends know that if you group with me there's a 95% chance you're going to die. But I'll bet we have more fun than a lot of others. I love playing my class and pushing my limits. And I love showing others that chanters can be a hell of a class if they wanted to be.

If i do a group in any of the Tier 3 or above zones for over an hour and i haven't dies i figure its one of three things.

1. The tank is REALLY good

2. I've been lazy and not tried to find the "% line" i can tash at

3. i was Afk for 45 mins.

I like to live on the edge, it's fun and since i know that Aggro = death at this stage, i enjoy it all the more.

lol

Speaking of which anyone on Povar run into the 'buff me' group? It's a group of bots (I think) and they run around saying 'buff me plz kkthx'. That's almost all the english they know. A friend of mine grouped with them on a creator mission. He said it was pretty funny.
