So, yesterday's patch brought the new /paperdoll command, which makes a pretty nice pic of your character and saves it to your harddisk.

This should make it easier to upload an image to EQPlayers. SHOULD make it easier.

The saved file is .png format, 512x512 pixel.

Profile and Bio images are regulated to 96x192
So one should presume that images are regulated to this size. But:

Even if you resize it by yourself to 96x192, you always receive the same message... at least I do.

Any ideas on that? Tried self-taken .jpg-files, too... Smiley: oyvey

It seems a bit rediculous that the command makes an image in different dimensions than the site uses. But anyway, a couple days ago I was able to use a self-taken, 96x192 jpg on EQPlayers. So maybe you made a mistake on the dimensions or (more likely) EQPlayers is screwed up. The other thing that I thought was strange was that not only can the pictures not be bigger than 96x192, they must be exactly 96x192. I tried using one a bit smaller and it wouldn't work.

Thank you SuiG, gonna try again.

I think that the /paperdoll command is screwed up at the moment, as:

At the moment, it does NOT auto-update the screenshot to the profile. Moreover, /paperdoll does NOT replace /eqplayersupdate, the character infos are not updated by using it.

When I first read about it, I couldn't see HOW it could work, screen size being what it is, how could it know what segment of the screen you needed? So it would be mostly background with a little bit of your toon. I already put my pictures out there, using PhotoShop to crop to the very exact size it wanted (not smaller or larger, exact). I will try to replace one of the pics I have with another, and see if it works.

Important: /paperdoll does actually not take a "screenshot" as it is taken with the minus-key of the keyboard, but a picture of the character, front view from head to feet, on a black background. The picture shows the actual equipment. Your view on the screen has nothing to do with this new command.
