Where are all the GM events!? i love having huge arena battle events and collecting useless items for a GM turn-in its something different to do then kill kill kill kill kill. I was just saying that i hope theres more GM events in the future they make EQ alot more fun. anyone else have an opinon about this?
On FV two days after the Temp vendors debacle, there was a GM event in Steamfront. Players had to gather as many items on a list given by a gm and return them within one hour. The award: a super duper neato title to go on the end of the winners name. Of the 30 or so items you could obtain, a number were from the planes, and the winner turned in 10 or 11 items in all. Most of the items could be purchased in the bazaar, which made the game pretty stupid.
The funny thing is, I played for a little while, got a few items, and then got bored, but later that night my char was rolled back. So, if I had won the title I would have lost it within an hour. It's great how SOE provides infinite fodder for ********* isn't it?

LOL that sucks...a couple days after my last post my server did the same thing...it was pretty stupid lol i havnt even heard of half the things on the list and getting 30 of them was impossible. the highest on my server was 14 (Bertoxulous) and he got this crappy earring =\ o well... maybe they will think of something better lol

We just had GM event yesterday on Povar. A lvl 1 gnomes were dishing it out in the Arena. The dead gnomes were everywhere! I had a blast, it was more PVP than I've done in EQ since I started 2 years ago :)

The last GM event I attended was on Karana before the release of LDoN. Was Pirates in OT, I had fun interacting with them and the script til a Raid force showed up trying to kill them. I got a Tink Bag for my participation, sad that so many try to ruin them, must be why they are so rare now.

There was a GM event on Bertoxx in Immothule Swamp Sunday night. Near where the hollow log isle is there was a named mushroom surrounded by GM controlled named mini-mushrooms.
The event itself was fun and it was nice to see how well people from (normally warring) guilds can come togeather, focus and play nice. However as usual the zone quickly filled with foul language and 'Bob ninja looted my fish scale' comments.
