Where is a good place to start Raiding. Our guild can probably get around 3 or 4 full groups max. Levels would be from 55 - 70 with probably around a level 62 - 64 level average. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

What expansions do y'all have? This sounds close to the Aude Sapere raiding core...we've done stuff like Ykesha bosses, ie Broodmother and Innoruuk in Nadox.

The Temple of SSra in Luclin is a giggle and is well within your means. Also the drops are fun and useful with clickies that are still useful even today.

Planes of Power is scaled perfectly for you. Some events are raids and need up to 50 people, others are even limited to 18 (hedge event in PoNightmare for example). You will not see much loot at first but flags and fun are guaranteed in PoP.

I would start doing PoP. Epic 1.0 are always nice if some people dont have theirs yet.

Some mobs to start with:

Gorenaire (60) - Dreadlands
Severilous (60) - Emerald Jungle
Tolapumj (60) - Old Sebilis
Talendor (60) - Skyfire
Trakanon (65) - Old Sebilis
Overking Bathezid (65) - Chardok
Lodizal (60) - Iceclad Ocean
Mistress of the Darkwater (65) - Siren's Grotto
Velketor the Sorceror (66) - Velketor's Labyrinth
Wuoshi (64) - Wakening Land

If you can easily manage those - try these next:

Fireback Queen (65) - Caverns of Exile
The Statue of Rallos Zek (59) - Kael
The Idol of Rallos Zek (66) - Kael
The Avatar of War (70) - Kael
Halls of Testing - Temple of Veeshan
Queen Raitaas (66) - Dragon Necropolis
Dozekar the Cursed (66) - Temple of Veeshan
Gozzrem (66) - Temple of Veeshan
Ikatiar the Venom (66) - Temple of Veeshan

You may need to do some faction work to hunt Halls of Testing safely. If killing those goes smoothly, move on to:

A Netherbian Swarmlord (60) - Umbral Plains
Zelnithak (60) - Umbral Plains
Servitor of Luclin (65) - Grieg's End
The Insanity Crawler (63) - Akheva Ruins
The Va`Dyn (63) - Akheva Ruins
Rhag Mozdezh (63) - Ssraeshza
Rhag Zhezum (63) - Ssraeshza
Arch Lich Rhag Zadune (63) - Ssraeshza
Vyzh`dra the Exiled (63) - Ssraeshza
Thought Horror Overfiend (63) - The Deep

After those try:

Xerkizh the Creator (66) - Ssraeshza
Grieg Veneficus (65) - Grieg's End
The Burrower Event (65) - The Deep
Lord Inquisitor Seru (66) - Sanctus Seru
Vyzh`dra the Cursed (66) - Ssraeshza
Doomshade (66) - Umbral Plains
Rumblecrush (66) - Umbral Plains

From here you can move on to pursuing access to Vex Thal or going straight into PoP.

These are just a few to get you started. Depending on your guild strengths and how well you play together these may all be trivial to you. This isn't a set list in any specific order and you may find some mobs are just easier than others for your guild so don't be afraid to mix it up.

There are no rules that you have to do Luclin before you do PoP or you have to do Velious before Luclin. Just keep looking for things you think your guild can take down and go after them. You'll quickly learn where you are and what you're capable of.

Throw in some hedge walks, PoJ trials, and DoN progression to add variety and better gear drops too.

EDIT: Heh, I was typing the same time as Netos. He is thinking the same thing I am and his ideas are very good.

Raid in this order:

Epic 1.0
Plane of Fear, Hate, Sky, Mischief, Growth
Velious - Dain, Tormax, Yelinak and other dragons, Temple of Veeshan
Luclin - Akheva, Ssraeshza, Vex Thal
Planes of Power

I have to disagree with starting with PoP. All those uber guilds who have beat Overlord Mata Muram and Mayong cut there teeth on Vox and Naggy and each expansion after that. You could start with PoP and be successful but I think your guild would enjoy Everquest more if you can conquer places like Vex Thal and ToV and even Trakanon even if it is a cakewalk.

You need to start small so you can work on the necessay strategies. There is a huge difference between a few Clerics keeping a tank alive and a CH rotation.

Here is a description of General Reparm in Planes of Power:

Quote:
I don't have a parse but I can show you this:
After my furious disc went off he did this in 1 round:
melee for 2295
melee for 597
melee for 3039
Proced his 3000hp proc on me
Proced his 3000hp proc on me

This totals up to 11931hp of Damage done in one round. I have 10431 hps raid buffed. He one rounded me

Yes, Reparm is an extreme example. Most PoP gods are easier than him but you can't be "getting a feel" for raiding against guys like him.

list is kind of squirrely, but decent I guess.

rumblecrush needs to be WAY lower, and aow needs to be WAY higher.

actually, a vast majority of your list is easier than aow, while all the umbral plains mobs are pretty much on the same level of gore or talendor.

that's only because those guilds were around when those zones were the highend.

I don't think any of them, if restarting now, would touch tov or VT. if your goal is progression, the answer is not luclin.

actually, I'd argue that pretty much every lesson learned in VT is obsolete in DPOB.

if you're raiding for fun - sure, do luclin and velious! but that doesn't mean you cant do early pop, too.

general rapems melee dps is bigger than every other pop era mob, excepting a couple in phase4/5/6 potime.

screwed example. no guilds start off killing reparm. that's not what people mean when they say "try raiding pop!"

as an example of a modern day fast progresion path, look at enlightenment's site.

admittedly they had an awful lot of raid experience already, and a few people floating around with higher end gear, but it's still pretty damn impressive go from tactics to dpob in less than a year: http://www.illuminationguild.com/Mambo/

Wow, awesome list guys! Most of us are over halfway done if not almost done with our 1.0's. Looks like we all need that one or two last fights to finish. We currently don't even have a Raid leader. But we are all tryin to get our 1.0's finished up. Looks like we will do those first. Personnally I want that chest piece that drops off of Trakonon, clicky port to L-fay for a ranga! Thanks again for the info, Rate up fo use guys. :)
