Copied this from EQ traders:

Ngreth has posted on the message board in the Attention Alchemists! (see bottom of post) thread that some sweeping changes are coming to alchemy in the Prophecy of Ro expansion. It seems we're getting this notice now because some things that people have been stockpiling (to skill up on, or make and sell) will no longer exist or have trivials as high after the changes. In other words: use up your supplies of anything valuable NOW. It sounds like some or all of these changes may take place with the next patch, which may be before PoR goes live, so do it NOW. Not right before PoR is released - NOW.

That said, alchemy has been sorely in need of attention, so this is definitely an encouraging sign of helpful changes to come! Just don't get stuck with stacks of ingredients you could have skilled up on but that only make trivial things after the next patch.

The notice about alchemy has also been posted on The Spirit Realm (shaman board) and Artisan's Way on the SOE board, but please help spread the word to any shaman you know who may not read message boards much.

This is scary to me. Means reprinting piles of paperwork and spreadsheets, and relearning everything, very sure that doesn't thrill me. I have prices/profits calculated on so many recipes.

Smiley: lol Another tree bites the dust.

I know the feeling. I used to print everything up until I could no longer see my desk. I find it easier to copy everythin to a word file and dump it into a subfolder I created in my EQ directory. Saves money on paper and makes finding everything alot easier once you get everything properly sorted.

Let's hope it does not become like DoDH Spell research. You researchers know what I am talking about...You wonder why they are giving us extra bank slots?

I had heard that they were also going to change alot of other tradeskill items soon as well. Like reducing trivials on Velious tailoring, possibly on cultural robes etc. I cannot locate this info at the moment, though. Anyone else heard anything about other tradeskills besides alchemy?

What if the stuff you've been stockpiling skyrockets in value because of the changes? :)

I could almost guarantee that I would never be so lucky. My bank is full of garbage, tradeskill tools, no drop stuff I will only need if I destroy it, and did I mention junk.
