I don't know if this is normal or not, but I didn't know this. Do not cast 'invis vs animals' while you have a direcharmed pet (AA direcharm) as it will immediately wear of and get your bum bitten

LOL

Doesn't invisibility always break charms, regardless of invis type?

My bard's been using a clicky ring with Invis to Animals to instantly break charms while charm/swarm kiting for years.

I admit I've never played a Dire Charm capable class so don't know if it's supposed to be exempt from the Invis rule

Invis vs. undead will break it also. Regular charm or DC.

Yeah, ANY type of invis will work to break DC or regular charm. Hide works as well. As a side note, DC cannot be dispelled anymore, whereas regular charm still can.

Are you guys sure Invis vs Undead breaks charm on a pet which isn't undead?

Anyhow, to add, Hide also breaks charm when its successful. Used to use it to insta-break charms on my Halfling Druid, nuking over the badly damaged pet for its EXP.

Yes! Any form of invisibility will break charm on any type of mob.

You can even use Hide (when it succeeds). I use clicky invis to animals for instant charm break. And even if you cast see-invis on your pet it still breaks with any form of invisibility.

Invis (any form) does NOT affect summoned pets.

All forms of invis will break charmed (including Dire Charmed) pets.

Any form of FD or Mez (on the charm caster) will also break charms.

I think most who have DC have done this at least once. I tend to have a bigger problem with other people casting invis on me while I have a charmed pet up. It's almost as annoying as people who continually break mezzes.

Anyone know if that whole thing about being able to prevent certain buffs from landing on you is going live with PoR?
