I bought the pre-order digital download a few weeks ago. I didnt order it for the content though, as I am only on about 20 hours per week and will never see it. I ordered it to get that "do you want to pre-order Ro" screen to stop popping up. That was F*ck*n annoying.

Ya, so it sounds stupid, I know

I'll buy it a day or two after release. I'm not a power gamer nor do I really need the extra bank. I just like being able to expand my kiting areas.

Sorry, tired of the Sony bait and switch tactic shown in DoD (a.k. a. the nerf of HHK in this upgrade today 2/21). Also, the continued "no drop" policy of Sony is making upgrading my toons improbable. Am still in PoP so I won't be buying any more alleged "expansions" in the foreseeable future. Also due to the outrageous economics Sony's "no drop" has created and exhibited in Bazaar the game is becoming prohibitively expensive to play.

"we in Europe have to deal with average $6.70 a gallon (%78 percent tax on the euro/dollar) and from 50-80% tax and import duty on items shipped from the states"

Germany is a nice small country, and so is "Europe" for that matter compared to the U.S.A. Try driving between states in U.S.A. or for that matter just in California and L.A. Also, in U.S.A. we drill and produce about 40% of our oil consumption.

"I am by no means a power-player. My Wife and I 2-box 2 accounts each"

I'd say those two lines contradict each other.

If you are two-boxing, you are a power-player. You are using tqwo computers (well four for the couple) two accounts and basically, playing the game twice at the same time. Anybody who can pull that off is a power player in my book.

Big huge woot to:

More Bank Slots.
Being able to block Ranger and Drood Buffs (too bad you can't block them on pets).

To the whiny people "not" buying the expansion.... grow up, there are those of us that like the expansions. Just because you play at a snail's pace, does not give you the right to bash those that play more than you.

I am by no means a power-player. My Wife and I 2-box 2 accounts each and none of our characters are even PoP flagged completely. We are average players and have a relaxed playstyle and enjoy the game as much as the next guy.

Put simply, if you don't want the new expansion, quit your crying, no-one wants to hear it.

I am not a power player...my wife and I 2 box 2 accts each...

lol, who is a power player then? those 2% deranged with no other life?

Big deal.

I never bothered to read up on this expansion and today I am getting hit with news about it from every corner.

8 new bank slots. BFD I have other chars to handle the overflow and I gave up on tradeskills a long time ago because of the waste of time.

New horsie. BFD. The boar was a piece of junk, now they're offering you a new graphic with your old horse speed. Nothing good here either.

What else we got? AAs? I still need 400 more from previous expansions...

New traps and environment junk. BFD; will never see that content in the old zones so it has no effect on my game play.

Raid content: with the exception of a few guilds, no one will be raiding this place often for a while. Guilds are already focussed on other content and getting all 30 to 100 raiders to buy another junk expansion will take a long while.

Congrats SOE on offering your subscribers nothing but downtime while you figure out the new bugs and issues you have introduced to the game. Whoopie!

Well I have pre-ordered as I have with all 11 expansions. The only thing i don't like is the offering of items such as a warhorse for storebought version and nothing for the Digital version. Am I missing something here? It jjust doesn't seem right.

I will not be buying this in its present form. There is nothing that excites me about it as a necro. The spells are an insult. And I am not so excited about 8 extra bank slots and no longer having to click off Ranger buffs that I am willing to part with any money for that ability.

I hope SOE changes my mind, and fixes the lack of fun for my main (once again, a necro) in this expansion, so I can happily give them my money.

Ok I bought it, but theres one thing I still dont understand.

Why to they give people who buy the boxxed version an advantage over someone who bought the digital download. Sony I would think would make more money from the digital download, and should foster that. Partly because they dont have to sell the boxed versions to other companys for a wholesale price then the companies who retail it sell it for the jacked up price. The other reason is they dont have to make the boxes, cds, and all the rest of the junk that is in them which costs them even more money when combined with the selling at a wholesale price.

The only reason I can even fathom is to make it so that they have the items on the shelves so some random person would say hey I like that and want to get it. I really doubt that the potential newbie would be buying the box version of PoR unless they were already familiar with the game and have titanium or some other combined multi-expantion disk.

Just a personal thought that they should be pushing those multi-expantion starter kits and giving those free items or what not to them and possibly the digital downloads and not the boxxed versions. I would have bought the digital download if it had only had the freebie item. Just my 2cp.

Only a guess on my part, but imagine all the downloads that would be going on at one time. Many of the people waiting until the last minute and so on. There has to be a reason, they don't do it to lose money.

There is sometimes sign-on server lag after a patch, or even crashes. Maybe everyone downloading would be a problem.

I was going to buy the box set but Comp USA didn't have any copys. The way the traffic is here, I really didn't feel like driving all over the place looking for a copy so I just d/l'd it.

On a side note, I did hear about a solo instance that once you finish you get a 195hp ring. I'll get back to you on that one. :)

Not giving SoE any more money. They get enough from my monthly raping. Maybe if they actually started fixing the countless game problems instead of cranking out pointless, money-making expansions every four months I'd be more inclined to be generous.
