1. Where does one buy the little game books with recipes for alchemy?

2. I have notclaimed horse yet. When I do, how do I change it for a faster horse, can you change a fast drog (assuming you have a bridle for a fast horse or drog)?

3. How do you get to the new zones.

Warning, don't be an idiot like me and hand your GM bag to a FP TS quest judge, who will not give it back (unless you almost done with quest, or don't need it). And I say idiot because if I completely read everything in the quest, I would have known it wasn't coming back. But I didn't read it right. Bah, idjit.

the one you get at the end will be much better. +12% to the tradeskill for the master quest, and it will evolve to 15% with combines. People should hand in their old trophies as next to last combine.

I know it will be better, but I should not have turned in my GM bag until I was ready to get the other. Heavens knows how long it will take me to find the recipes and the ingredients, and I can see me accidently removing it, I am so coordinated.

I have to say I really feel nerfed by the alchemy thing, the least they could have done is put the new recipes for the old potions in my bag, or made the books easy to find. I am so frustrated I may avoid EQ awhile.

I hope someone can tell me how to get into zones, I clicked on the big ball in the center of the caster guild, but that wasn't it.

/edit and I did petition about the bag, I figure a 99.9% chance that they tell me it is working at intended, which it is, and I just didn't completely read the instructions.

It is probably for the best though, because there is a message under the quest that you should make sure your last hand in is one actually combined for the quest. Since most people who do the masters level quest will already have the old trophy, that would have to be handed in before the last handin. I do not know what happens if your last handin is not something made for the quest, but I suspect that it would require destroying and remaking said item, and that would be a bigger pain then doing w/o for a few combines.

As long as your GM Trohpy is your last hand in, the judge gives you a letter to give the coordinator. Give letter to her and she gives you new trophy and certificate to upgrade it. Combine certificate in the tool of your trade with trophy in primary or secondary slot and your trophy becomes better than the old one.

If you handed in the old item before the last thing, just finish the quest and you will get the new one.

I had no problem.

Old GM Trophy is ok.

If you read notes from Coordinator (under quest window) she tells you that your old GM Trophy is fine. Just hand it to coordinator, then judge. At end of task coordinator will return new item (see above post)

to get to Arcstone, it's above the spinning ball...step on one of the portals around the pool, climb the ramp that circles around the inside of the tower and at the top, you'll see another portal beam that sends you to arcstone. It's probably a good thing to be higher than level 65 to do the quests in Arcstone.

I hate hate hate what they did to alchemy. Half the recipes require items you have to go to Abysmal sea for parts, talk about a time waster. Many items I have no clue where to pick up. None of the recipes are easier, they all seem harder and want more ingredients.

I will get used to it, but for the first time since I started EQ, I might take a break, not really sure yet, depends if I recover my good humor.

Yeah, as long as you don't close or remove quest in error. Since I did something stupid like turning bag in, I wouldn't surprise myself if I did something even dummer like closing the quest. OOPS wrong click.
