...the new expansion (#11) to be up and running with few glitches in:

The first few days?

The first week?

The first month?

Before advance notice of expansion #12?

After expansion #12 goes live?

I would caution people running new quests or getting new items to CAMP (i. e. save your work!) every time you get a major piece. Had to re-do several tradeskill combines after going LD last night and like a dummy I did not camp after re-doing them. Yep went LD again later and I am dreading logging on to find having to re-do them again, not to mention the 2 more I did.

Good advice.

Better would be not to buy any more Evermess expansions at all. :)

I figured a week. There always seems to be glitches when they make major changes to the UI.

Ever since Luclin I have used the following approach when it comes to expansion/big patches:

1. I don't plan to play on patch day.

2. The day after patch day, I plan on playing, but I don't camp/make anything that I can't afford to lose. Resets and rollbacks (/shudder) do occur. It is a good day to explore the new content.

3. Since big patches and expansion tend to be on a Tuesday, I really don't expect to do anything until the weekend. That gives them patch day + three days to shake out major problems.

I guess I'd vote for the new expansion to be up and running within the first week.

I'd guess 2-3 weeks before we're done with the patches that come every few weekdays. After that hopefully things will be running smoothly. Seemed about 2 weeks for DoD to get the major kinks worked out.
