Hah! Beat ya bbot. Smiley: grin

Ok, so a bit early but I'm heading oot on business in a bit so my EQing is done for the weekend.

Druid and BL had to check out the hot xp in Rathe Mountains and dinged 32 killing HG's. It wasn't terribly camped amazingly enough. The husband, after a couple near death fights with the giants, gave in to letting me kite the beasts - so he learned about chasing and slashing.

Did our first LDoN with these toons, and the hubbies first ever. We had a full group on an easy adventure so burned through it in about a half hour. Xp still stinks, but it was fun.

.....and in other gaming news:
I dove into Eve-Online this weekend. Wow! What a game. Huge learning curve but beautiful graphics and playability. I LOVE blowing up pirates in space. I think it will be worth the time to learn it. Smiley: smile

Just editing punctuation;)

I spent my weekend travelling. Hopefully I will get time during the week.

Friday - Did some raiding, knocked out the Battlemaster, Hulcror, and gave Feratha a slap in the face!

Saturday - Tradeskills! Of course, what else would I do? Got Smithing up to 290 and started on my new trophy. Bounced jewelry up to 298, I just couldn't get those last 2 points to work. Started looking at pottery next, up to 170 now. Got trophys in the works for brewing, fletching, and jewelry too. Then tried to do a Time raid with the guild, but got bugged just before phase 2 - so we ran over to DoN and took our chances with Volkara. Volkara 2, CD 0. We'll be back!

Sunday - Horrible allergies today but managed to kill a few more mistletoe cuttling sickles bringing me up to 292 in smithing.

I spent the weekend trying to figure out the quests/missions in the new expansion. It didn't help that nobody is posting info about it. The expansion has been out for over a week and there's still no information on it anywhere.

This game is in a sad state.

Wrong on both points.

Came out on the 21st. Today is the 26th/27th maybe depending on time zones.

There is tons of info being posted, but I have found it on class boards mostly.

Which class boards might these be? I've been reading the The Magician's Tower, The Spirit Realm, Allakhazam's, Necrotalk, Druids Grove, etc and have found very little information as compared to previous expansions. I'm not saying that no information has been posted, just not as much as I'm used to seeing.

Your correct, it's been out for 7 days.

I can't fault the class boards you listed, but the info I supplied to you in the other thread, to which you replied:

Thank you. That's the first SOLID information to come out since the expansion got released. It's been a little frustrating to say the least. I guess it's to be expected from playing a game that is almost dead.
.

Came from those same sources.

Good luck to you in finding this info...

I guess it is easier for some, I frequently go through the same thing.

so what? is this game called Everquest or "bring me all the info on a silver plate RIGHT NOW"? Alla is a spoilersite after all. and you're crying that ye can't play this game without all the spoilers being available to you? Smiley: tongue

If I'd have bought PoR I'd be scouting the new areas. get yerself a rogue shroud (so ye can hide/sneak) and explore.

Friday: Undusted my 50 Pallie (haven't played her in 6 months) and went to Cobalt Scar with a guildie, pulling Wyverns. couple of learnings:
- yes, I have a taunt button - use it.
- no need to pull 4 at once, you have pacify
- stock up on potions the next time
Saturday: went to the Baltic See, 2 hours walk along the beach. after that some great food (spare ribs with raisins and plums, red cabagge and potatoe dumplings).
in the evening I tried to single in Forgotten Halls with the Pallie (as per the post last week). was able to kill one DB rat (had to use 3 potions and LoH). Tried a second one, but I was glad I had "I want to leave" hotkeyed...
Sunday: more groupage with a Dwarftosser in PC, with a short trip to AC.

good WE :)

Friday - Got my potter's trophy. It's at lvl 5 so only need to lvl it to 7 for max stats. Pretty sweet.

Saturday - Did a bit of exp grinding in morning. Hubby and I went to movies in afternoon and saw "8 Below". It was pretty good. Kind of sad, though.

Sunday evening - played the baby shadowknight for a bit with guildie group in Neth Lair. Kept having to derail trains, so was on-your-toes fun.

Grats! Smiley: lol

I hereby have to remind you that this is not "my thread", and has never been. I'm just one in the long row of Weekend Update posters (Dread Lord Kaolian, Jophiel, Nobby...), and the first time I ever posted a weekend update, I "stole" the thread from Aadynn... Smiley: blush Many others to come!

That said, here is my weekend:

Thu: Three LDoNs in Takish took me from 45,4 to 46. 20% of a level per LDoN, seems as if exp is slowing down in the 40ies...

Fri: The local software shop called me, PoR arrived. Picked it up, but didn't have the time to register yet...

Sat & Sun: Skiing in the Alps. No EQ.

Can't wait to log on tomorrow and get my horsie for my lowbie warrior! Smiley: grin

Had a short period of time to get on and took a quick gander at my trader. Just as I sat down to log a warrior stepped up and said "ACK!" "Lol, sorry man, whatcha need?" Stated he had mistaken the Nightmare Cichlid bones for HQ Fish bones and needed those badly for a quest (?). Agreed to meet him on with my main and go get him some. Quick trip to Cobalt, some celandine and roots later and he had them. He then invited me to go with him to a raid on Arcstone for the pretty nice cloak. Woot!

Understandable pick-up raid confusion, but overall had a good time until...got smoked on an aggro-shift. Found out that no credit is given on boss mobs if you die during the kill (BAH). Felt like DPS bait, but agreed to continue. Got others their cloak and vowed to fight barehanded, and no pet with my Disc running for the last 2 mobs. Live (or rather, die) and learn.

Thursday eve started with the rogue sneaking thru Lava to pick up picks, and a satus report for the newly level 40 shamaness. Seems gnomes dont like talking to trolls, at least I wasnt KOS.
Even did some killing with the rogue on the db lesser lava spinners and fire imps. Kept up sow so I could run to zone if too many adds. Got halfling revenge on two of the De guards in Nek as well, but the third time I tried I was looking for weapon skill ups and died when a 2nd guard wandered by.
Did get glowing magma ring and toolbet for the shaman.
Shaman went to tofs on Thursday dinged 41 and half to 42. On FridayI played between the rogue and shaman. In the evening I went to dulaks harbor to help paladin get his Loy spell. While waiting on paladin sent a tell to a 70 shaman asking about the shaman spell mob and he kindly invited me to group, killed the mobs and got me the spell in about 20 min time.
On Saturday Did task in ot for nice exp that took me to TD, where I then killed golras for some more exp and to collect chunks of ice for guild brewers.

Sunday after coming home from work I logged on the shaman who was camped in So RO. Kited SG's, when some higher level wasnt committing mass slaughter, and was able to ding 42. Even got revenge on the Spectres. Again I could easily kite two Spectres, but not two Sand giants.

Played around alot in PoR new zones...I love the new tasks!
Btw, there are some Tasks that you can get in Relic that involve Arcstone. you can get these tasks in the Market area of relic.

Smiley: flamesOn!

OMG! If I see one more post from Grimleaper about how there are NO walkthoughs on the new stuff I'm gonna scream! Smiley: motz

Maybe EQ isnt the game for you if you're looking for precise details on every quest/task in the game.

The whole point is for you to figure out the puzzles, and maybe...just maybe if you really get stuck...then you look for assistance. Not within 6 Days of Release do we ***** that there are no easy ways to get the best loots!

To all others who read this post...sorry, but man come on and show some initiative and try em on your own.

Wow, you mean you never looked up a quest. My hats off to you sir. I was just wondering, when you did your epic 1.0/1.5/2.0, did you look up the quest? If so, then what is your point?

Btw, I was only commenting on the lack of information as compared to past expansions but hey, if you want to blow it all out of context then have at it. the game is in a sad state with lower server populations. There are less helpful people around as seen from your post. I don't know about your server but Prexus could use another server merge.

And thank you for suggesting that this may not be the game for me but since I've been playing eq for almost 7 years, I think I'll be the judge of that.

Hi yall,

Not a bad weekend here. I got a good run on trade skilling, and got my Mage his language lessons so the Tainted Heartstone is maxed, and while soloing in Natimbi I managed to get the gland to drop off of the crustys, MQed the shells from my ranger (got those a while ago) and poof: Broken Shore Shell Necklace! Played with my daughter the rest of the weekend; winter through the eyes of a two year old is a great thing! Smiley: clown

After a relatively long period of no EQ I got to play last night.

Took my two juniors (26 Shammy/ 21 Cleric) over to Iceclad and killed snow cougars. Shammy is now 27 and Cleric is now 23!!!

Nice for some spare time killing.

Spent Friday working on getting some runes in MPG with my chanter. Was a rocky start - I think the group had like 8 deaths inside of 20 minutes. Once we geled , though was nonstop killing for like 3 hours. No runes. Tons of attunable junk, though.

PoP raids in the morning on Saturday. I then got into a spell mission group, that was totally cursed. Cleric got lost on the way and wandered all over Stoneroot. I had to cast sight on him and tell him where to go, but he was not the best listener. Finally started the mission, cleric goes LD. We get a druid taskadded and start killing. Second pull, 3 spiders warp right on top of the group. I lock em down but we lost the tank. While rezzing, accidental break on the mez, monk down. Finally back up, monk pulls three, I mez one and WHAM all three warp on top of me and wipe the group. An interesting 2 hours of basically getting nothing done. Good group of folks to hang out with that I never met before, which is more important to me.

Sunday, did various minor quests for junk sitting in my bank then switched to my 30th cleric. Did the clicky snare quest with a beastlord then hit Rathe Mtns. We cranked out 5 levels there and walked out with several thousand pp. I was also pretty surprised how few folks were there. I'd never really hunted Rathe much before and it was a total blast, esp. with that snare necklace.

Monday, RL work then spent the evening killing the banished efreeti in Western Wastes to get some folks alt SolRo access and chatting up people I hadn't talked to much in awhile.
