I've got a level 58 Rogue on the Veeshan server, and have been playing him but ive found theres not that many groups looking for a Rogue, and there's not a whole lot to do as a Rogue when you're solo. So, how does a Rogue kill in 1v1 situations on the PVP server? Ive got a Shadow Knight with about 65000 plat an old friend gave me before quitting so equipment wouldn't be a problem, but id rather not play a character that can't even solo someone whos half dead and sitting =P

Not using the quotes.. too many wasted space.

"So, how does a Rogue kill in 1v1 situations on the PVP server?"

It doesn't. Rogues are a horrible PvP class, lacking the utility spells that generally account for PvPing ability. Of course, you can try hunting with others, or using items to suppliment your short-comings, but, in the end, its not going to work.

"about 65000 plat"
65k isn't going to get your PvP-worthy gear. Don't get me wrong, its not a bad start, but the guys on Zek are the best players in the game, even if attitudes and decency are at a premium. They play a lot, and they hard.
I can sympathize, having been raised on Rallos Zek with a soloing play type. My Druid's equipment always lacked. It took a great deal of tactics, patience, and, to be frank, cheap-shots, to take down opponents and threats.

One of the most basic things you want to know when playing as a Priest vs Priest duel is, if your opponent starts nuking you, sit back, relax, heal yourself, and bust up laughing. Due to resists, PvP-reduced damages, and already unfavorable mana ratios, its far more efficinent to heal yourself.
Well, I got to fighting another Druid in a PoStorms camp disbute. (I zoned in, charmed a frog. He tracked me, told me all frogs in the zone were his, and proceded to attack. ) First thing he did was started nuking me. Not even a resist debuff. Of course, I was happy.. easy fight, even if I was low mana (******* had medded and buffed to full since, of course, he knew the fight was coming). Part of the way through it, I realized he was simply overpowering me.. I could hardly heal myself as fast as he could damage me, and I found myself greatful he wasn't doing more to augment his DPS. It took a bit for this to sink in, but the guy was in full raid gear from OoW end-game content (at the time), while my armor's proudest pieces, by far, were from the lesser set of Druid-specific PoP armor.
I'm still not sure how he had enough mana to waste like that.. and how strong armor was. Whatever the case was, my point to you is, though he fought me like a fool, he still forced me to evac at OOM, badly damaged, just to survive.
Gear makes and breaks. 65k isn't going to make.

Ok, having been on Zek since 1999 (Vallon before the current Zek) I can tell you that rogues are very good in pvp, but there are some classes that they do not do well against. At lower levels( 40 and below), they really are the devil. As you get higher, they lose some effectiveness, and at the end game (65 and higher) BEserkers and Beasts will own you generally.
I have to add, that I have known some rogues ( two to be exact) that all the way through the high levels owned at pvp. Learning to play your class can make all the difference. ( Gear also makes a difference, and 65k will get you through some of the low levels gear wise, but not much past that.
Come to Zek, it is a fun server, there still is solid pvp, and I think you will have fun. Look up the Combine if you come, and I will help you any way I can.
