I'm new to the game and i have a skald on merlin server. I just got a trade skill, more on accident than anything, but i have no idea how to use it or where to get materials. Im a weaponsmith if that helps with any info you might have.

thank you for listening

On the window that shows your spec points and you realm abilities, there will be icons for different crafts. For weaponcrafting there will be a sword icon. If you drag it to your quick bar and click it a window will come up. That window shows you what you can make. If you expand an item (like a dagger) it will show you different levels of daggers made with different levels of materials. Right click on bronze dagger and the material list will come up. Find a merchant that sells those materials (Jord, Aegir, Hagall for example). When you have the materials drag the bronze dagger icon to your bar and click it. You will make a bronze dagger.

When making items you have a chance to gain skill in your craft. You will not always get a skill point even if you successfully make an item. Try to make things that con yellow to you. Also, if you /say task to the weaponsmith master (Jord or Aegir) he will give you a task to make and deliver something. Since crafting is expensive, this can be helpful because NPCs will pay you. It is not fast though since there is running around involved.

Hope that is what you were looking for.

Make sure it's at least 96% quality I believe.

I am not sure on the quality thing.

You can double check what is needed by typing /task. It will also tell you how much time is left I think. The task should eventually expire. I would just check /task to make sure it is the correct item and you're giving it to the right person. Some items can have similar names.
