They're not really selling it just an in game trade, from what I understand.

As I understand it, no physical/actual money is involved, just the risky process of "I give you gold" on one server/realm and "You give me the same amount of gold" on another server/realm.
Personally, I could use the name of a reputable trader. I seem to remember there was someone who did this.
