I am a returning player, been away for about a year and a half (since about 1.64). Just wondering if there was any website that has information about patches and major changes over that time, seems there have been a number of changes. Checking out the herald and allakhazam for now.

Since you are familiar with the game, your best bet would be to skim through the patch notes. Go to camelotherald.com and you should be able to find all the patch notes there or in the support area.
Once you are up to speed on what's been happening, I would suggest perusing the boards at camelotvault.ign.com, which are the most active camelot boards available. They have boards for every facet of DAOC, including expansions, classes, and servers.
