Clusters?Follow

Hi, I used to play DAoC a couple years back, went on to play WoW for a bit, and now want back into DAoC. I get that server's are now clustered into groups, but what does it do for them? Can players from one server in a cluster interact with players from another or how does it work? If someone could explain that to me that would be great. :)
