I will mute anyone for at least 24 hours if it happens again, everyone has been warned, there is a sticky, I made another post, and I've commented throughout threads. It's getting old folks. There are beta forums for this type of discussion.

Hey! I am on vacation in Puerto Rico, i did not read none of that stuff..... So! Sorry ? I was just a bit exited <.<

It wasn't directed to you specifically, nor are you the only one to do it Smiley: smile

I get the excitement, I join you all in the anticipation, but let's remember the rules here Smiley: nod

To be fair, the thread I started didn't actually say to not post about getting in in its title, so I made this one so everyone would see it without reading the actual post.

Just bumping this since it appears that non-legacy folks who were in the Alpha are starting to get invites to the beta. Keep it secret, keep it safe!

Question / clarification / pondering: Was it ever clarified if legacy members were automatically given beta access, or simply just automatically entered into a chance for beta access? Because if it's the first one, then simply saying "I'm a legacy member" is the same as "I'm in beta", but disclosure of legacy status isn't specifically prohibited that I know of.

Granted, it's still circumventing the NDA if used in the correlation to discuss things you shouldn't, but just making sure we're not prohibited from discussing legacy status and the, well, 'rewards' that have come from such either implied or not.

You can say you're legacy, that's fine.

Why is ZAM concerned about the NDA? Are they owned by Square Enix? I understand as a service to their members clarification of possible NDA may be appropriate, but that may be a violation too, but banning members? Seems that would be Square Enix's problem IMHO.

ZAM has a relationship with SE that they don't want to jeopardize. I'm sure Wint can elaborate more.

Considering they paid to fly Wint out to talk with Yoshi P just last week, there's a good reason for ZAM to try to stay in SE's good graces.

(P.S. - SE should fly Wint to Japan next time.)

I fully support this, but if they need a Zam person in Japan that would probably fall to Elmer sadly (not sadly, Elmer is a great guy, I just really wanna go to Japan).

We want to keep our relationship with Square Enix amicable, which means helping to enforce the NDA.

I could report the IP addresses of the people who violate the NDA to them, but I don't, because we're not that sadistic Smiley: sly

To say it once more:
The only way around the NDA is to say: "I am a FFXIV Legacy player." Legal loopholes are amazing.
Besides that, well sorry. Just gonna have to keep them lips sealed until SE announces the loosening squeeze of their NDA.

That aside I am sure people can relate on how frustrating the need to talk about games in Beta restricted by NDAs is. /comfort.

Sorry don't mean to sound new but I am. I purchased FF14 on launch day stopped playing a year and a half ago I did get an invite (PC) but had such a bad taste in my mouth I didn't act on it. This was my first MMO even shelled out big bucks for a laptop and the limited edition game, but was very disappointed. Recently I've signed up for the ps3 beta ( but I still think this will be a ps4 title)! I not sure what we are or are not allowed to talk about here what did you mean by keep it (what?) quiet?

If you're accepted to the PS3 beta, you cannot talk about it on this forum until SE says so. That's all.

Good luck getting into PS3 beta!

I thought the PS3 beta starts in Phase III which is after the NDA is lifted.

There is some conflict about when exactly it will be lifted, whether at the same time that the phase starts or sometime within that phase. Either way, no beta posting until NDA is gone.

"First rule of beta club" you don't talk about beta club! Hmm I've heard this before!
