I have no interest in playing it for the sake of personal enjoyment, but I would be happy to help them improve the design if asked me to. So it's more of a, "What would THEY have to do to get me to play the beta."

I'd write a bad poem.

To dear Square Enix
I would like a beta key
Sooner, the better.

Then berate anyone who didn't also spend money on that flawed game who now wants to play a good one.

Seriously though, if given the change to buy into "Legacy" for $50, who here wouldn't?

(And before this breaks into a debate about legacy, those who have it are lucky because the gamble of whether or not 2.0 would turn out better seems to have paid off.)

Nah, I'd berate those who continued to insult a game they no longer played ignorant of the changes for the better that game incurred. Especially if they inferred that because those changes (which they were ignorant of) were not satisfactory to them, that they new version was destined for failure, along with any possible controversial features they may or may not implement.

That said, Square Enix is kind of a unique case. They prostrated themselves when all this happened. Something I've yet to see from another company. Even Bioware in the Mass Effect 3 ending debacle seemed more concerned with defending their 'artistic vision' than about the promise they broke.

I think it was more of a 'last chance/leap of faith' than a gamble for some. It really will be interesting to see if it truly pays off in the end when the game is out officially. Hope may be spilling back in, but it is not an actualization yet.

Oh, and I would sing sonnets to Rikkuri until I lost my voice....

for Beta access! Yes, of course... almost forgot that part. >.>

No way, man, one day I bought several kinds of soy / tempeh / whatever bacon from the grocery store. I fried it in a pan, trying a different kind each day. I eventually found one that was pretty great, so I look at the nutritional information. It tasted like bacon, but fat- and cholesterol free, with a sh*tload of vitamins shoved in there to boot. First I was like, "How did they...?" But then I thought, tossing another half dozen strips in the pan, "Now I know what must be done."

I had the same experience with coconut ice cream -- I swear, that stuff is silky smooth and amazing in every way. o_o

Blech, no thank you. I never had any luck with fake meats or ice cream. Almond milk is pretty tolerable, but that's about as far as I go.

But bacon flavor is mostly from the curing spices anyway. It's probably synthetic flavoring.

I could tolerate Almond milk for about two weeks before I had to go on cooldown for Almonds all together. The thing with fake milk is that they can never replicate the texture of true cream, which always gets to me.

Luckily, my aversion to milk is very light so I can entertain it normally without much problems. I just cant bogart it like I could in my childhood.

I drink Lactaid these days. Not because I'm lactose intolerant, but I don't drink enough milk to get through a full gallon of the regular stuff before it goes bad, and the Lactaid seems to last a lot longer (even just based on sell by dates) compared to regular milk.

I developed an intolerance for milk and eggs in my early twenties. Truly I could not have conceived of a worse fate. Had to develop an entirely new diet. Of course, that was only after years of not knowing why my insides always felt like they were getting a gangster beatdown. So at least I developed quite a tolerance for pain.

My brother used to have to drink goat's milk for the same reason, this was before soy milk was around. Stuff smelled absolutely foul.
