I really wouldn't be surprised if we get 1 or 2 new jobs announced at E3. There's now 2 pieces of information out kind of hinting at more jobs being announced. Maybe it's just hinting at more info on scholar/summoner, but something just feels like they are hiding more from us than simple info on already announced jobs. Just a gut feeling; we'll find out for sure in a week!

I'm thinking the same thing. Especially if the job tree is truly implemented. The stunner? RDM. My personal prediction.

Edit: it might just be the wishful fan girl in me but I really think pistol carrying rdm has more to it than simply awesome 'fan art'. That said I'll be happy if they just give us thief.

I'm sure SAM will be implemented in the first round of new Jobs, there were far too many people that played it in FFXI for it not to be. The only reason they probably aren't adding it right now is because of the disparity between the number of DoW and DoM jobs. I'm sure that's why they gave us Scholar out of nowhere. Although SCH might very well be a "support" job like bard.

SAM really wasn't popular until years after release when they beefed it up considerably. I think most people leveled SAM more because it was useful than because they particularly liked it.

Agreed. I had my SAM at a moderately high level once they buffed the job. It became difficult to distinguish between who had merely joined the bandwagon and who actually enjoyed playing it. The oversaturation of SAMs on my server made it difficult to find parties. I remember having to start my own most of the time due to too many others seeking all at once.

SAM AF was sexy (shallow). Buying a great katana for 100+k for my static leader in his early-mid twenties lvl that he kept for maybe two days? Not sexy at all.

Well I for one loved my samurai, even before the massive buff. I loved being able to WS pretty much whenever I wanted, but I also loved having fun with it like going sam/rng, using a soboro sukehiro (double/triple attack gkt) and just spamming the heck out of sidewinder. Or even using love halberd (double triple polearm) and going sam/drg for penta spam on colibri. They buffed it way, WAY too much eventually and turned it into the perma-fotm, but even prior it was a very fun class for me. When they added the ability to self SC without your 2 hour, that was just so ridiculously OP. What's that? I'm the only DD on fafhogg and we have 5 blms? No worries, self-SC to thunder burst every 5 mins and he'd literally drop like 15% hp in a matter of seconds. Course I'd then be tanking until I got collaborated or died, but meh... still fun. Smiley: lol

Blue mage or Ninja

I loved my BLU back in FFXI, my god it was a grand job.

I always looked up to BLU's as I understood the perils of collecting all those spells, I still remember spending 6 hours in Tahrongi Canyon trying to get Healing Breeze... my god was that an awesome feeling when I finally got it.

As much as I understand that, nothing beats being in relative position to stealing valkurm emperor from a RNG/thf duo as a rdm. NonADD rawks!
