It most likely won't start until Sony pulls their head out of their ***. There's some sort of trouble with the Ps3 version on Sony's end that just couldn't be solved before phase 3 was set to start. they were mentioning a month delay for phase 3 about two weeks ago.. so it'll probably be another month before the possibility of any chance to get into the phase will be plausible. With all their NDA garbage it is really difficult and annoying to attempt to track the progress of the game in any meaningful way. I recommend forgetting about the whole thing for a month or two.

Being we don't even have a date in June when phase 3 will even start, I wouldn't worry about checking your email until the beginning of June. I'm sure there will be plenty of time after they send the emails to get it all setup and the client downloaded. I'm trying as well but won't even bother looking at emails until next month. The more you keeping looking the slower time goes (from my POV) at least.

Well then shouldnt we all start email SONY by the masses saying this is an issue that has put us all in a depression state and many of us may commit suicide if this isnt released on time ;P (sarcasm at its finest)... if they know thousands are at risk of dying by there doings maybe just maybe we could see this move along faster haha...

PS. i know there isnt an ON TIME point right now just fyi...

Does sony have a competing product due out? :(
I really want to test the ps3 version. Pumped about the gamepad and am tired of sitting in fps stance for the last decade.

They haven't ever "officially" given dates as to when each phase starts. Surprisingly, the last two phases were quite timely, even to the point of being complete a bit ahead of schedule (at least my schedule lol). It could be around by the beginning of next month but I wouldn't bank on an exact date.

I just hope that they are using this extra time to test and make improvements and tweaks to the game instead of twiddling their thumbs. I have been kind of wary as to their Beta practices, giving the most amount of content the least amount of player testing. Hopefully they know what their doing and will give the rest of the game proper testing before commercial release.

Maybe I'm just bitter after salivating over this game for three years and being unable to play 1.0. I suppose I'm looking for a cure for the itch that FFXI just can't scratch anymore. I'm in the same boat as you with changing over to WoW. Being so far behind with no connections really sucks XD.

I know it's cool to bash WoW in forums not devoted to WoW (and in some that are), but you have to know you're talking straight out of your ***, right?

WoW certainly isn't the best game ever made. That game is going to be different from person to person.

But as far as MMOs go, do you honestly believe that its staggering success isn't for a reason? WoW has the best raiding, some halfway decent pvp, and plenty of things for people not interested in either of those two things to do.

They normaly send it out the tuesday before. So.. Since it starts in early June.. Probably June 4th or 11th in the early AM. Just a guess though.

I signed up a week or so after they started taking applications and still haven't heard anything.. guess I should have lied more. I keep forgetting that lying usually gets you ahead in life. Stupid! Stupid!

Good point about E3 Saito. I usually forget about that event until my brother sends me a pic message with his ticket confirmation. Adding insult to injury, he also sends me the distance I now live away from CA. Family, /sigh.

On topic, Im wondering where you read that Phase 3 is being delayed due to Sony's abysmal certification process. Over the years I've had plenty of reasons to do my "old-man fist shake" at Sony for the exact same thing. Essentially I'm looking for clarification about this so that I can raise my withered fist once again!

I'm hopeful that the delay is simply SE doing some last minute adjustments on the game for Phase 3. From all of the announced changes, (new classes, areas, UI tweaks) it would seem that the delay is warranted. C'mon Sony, dont let me down. I've been not-so-patiently waiting for a ps3 version of FFXIV for a long time. Getting a bit antsy in my pantsy.

PS3 beta is coming in June. 5/20/13 was thrown out at some point as a pre-order date.

I wish I could find the damn articles.
