You're allowed to critique the game, you're not allowed to be an @#%^ to everyone else. If you like I can just ban you outright. I'm sure the cheers would be deafening. Personally I'd like to give you another chance.

Define being an @#%^ to everybody else... You yourself stated that

It's a good point, and so I think I'll just expand on this and encourage civility as much as possible (for an internet forum) from everyone. This includes conversations with Killua, Ostia, and those others who may not agree with the current forum majority. Mrmoderator you need to chill out too.

I like our forums, I think we have more intelligent conversations than some others, and I like not having to step on necks if I can help it

Yet we all know we treat killua like utter poo.... The times he has been called an idiot far outnumber the ones i have called somebody an idiot.... Smiley: lol

Oh and also those deafening cheers last time you mute me, where disappointing like the flood, i am still not sure which one was more lackluster.

This is 'murica Ostia. @#%^ freedom of speech, we will censor your ***.

Hey! Seattle Down! Or is the ban hammer Brah! Smiley: lol

Weirdly, Ostia has grown on me, like an std.
#54REDACTED, Posted: May 18 2013 at 8:31 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I appreciate the sentiment of the OP. I especially liked the ironic touches "quetion", "i", "size of immaturity", "you get what i am saying", "this kind of convos", "its", "thoughts into this" and "wonna".

Grammar Police? Really?

If you don't agree with him, make an actual point as to why. Just pointing out spelling and grammar mistakes without even offering a counter-argument seems kinda petty, don't you think?

Nah let him. I often laugh with those. English are not my native language and even though i know 3 languages i am afraid i make too many grammar mistakes in them. So if he thinks that offends me its fine by me.

I was making a point, though perhaps it was too subtle.

There's certainly a correlation between maturity and quality of posts in online communities. Though the causation is mostly forwards, ensuring high standards with respect to grammar and spelling help maintain an atmosphere that keeps out "immaturity" and attracts the kind of players that the OP seems to want around instead of turning them off.

Yes, but being an elitist about your spelling and grammar adds a different, often unwanted, element to communities as well. I'd rather have a nice guy who has problems with spelling and grammar than a jerk with perfect English.
#60REDACTED, Posted: May 18 2013 at 9:20 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I'm just stating the truth. If you want a forum with a mature member base you need to maintain quality standards, otherwise you end up with the official FFXIV forum.

So i get it, since i will not be able to maintain quality standards i guess i request to be banned. It seems my English skills are unwanted here. :)

No, you're just being a jerk.

He's not typing in leetspeak.. he's making minor spelling and grammatical mistakes. Hardly the end of civilized discourse.

I wonder if op has played ARR at all, I find it funny the things he says when ARR is itself a wow clone.

Yes i have played it and yes i do know that ARR can be called a wow clone. As i have stated in other posts in this thread i do not mind and i actually like it. I never said i didn't like it. I loved wow and i like when they take good elements from it.

Another issue with LoL in particular is that the structure of the matchmaking at all but the highest levels means that you will most likely never see the people in your game again unless they are friends.

That and, $%^& Meta gameplay. That game stopped being fun when everyone started using the same 15-20 FOTM champions until Riot nerfed them. Having to resort to picking up characters that I don't particularly like just to be able to have an easier time competing with every gimmick champ that pops up just isn't my idea of fun. No more days of Finales Funkeln or Singed Trolling >.>.

Haha, they changed the name of Finales Funkeln to Requiem and then Final Spark... Apparently a bit of awesome German was blowing peoples minds... Oddly enough I get that a lot. ZING! *bah dum pshh*

I would play the hell out of a FF WoW clone with square story lines. What is the issue again, failure of WoW clones?

Popular brand wow clones done poorly fail.
No name brand wow clones done well fail.

Popular brand wow clones done well should do fine. This one has friggin dragoons in it. I am playing it if it is over 7/10.

It is not their matchmaking, is the fact they have over a million people playing a day, the chances of you getting grouped with the same people over and over, when the game is 10 players out of 1-2 million online... Well let's say chances are low... On ranked whoever is more frequent. As for FOTM is not riots fault, is top end players fault, if one guy plays teemo jungle, and actually does decent, the scrubs, noobs, avarage player emulate that, even if they do not have the skills to pull it off.

I am proud to say that Singed Trolling is still quite effective.
