Will i lose any characters when i'm no longer gold member?Follow

i was gold last month and have 5 characters. I'm not going to pay for membership this month seeing as how i don't have the spare cash to do so and i'm worried i will lose random characters. if i would i would rather go through and delete the less important ones so i don't have to face a chance of losing my main. does anyone know if i will lose any once my gold membership runs out?

What happens is the most recent characters you played, up to the allowable amount for your subscription level, are the ones available to play. You can alternatively purchase character slots and that will permanently unlock the extra character(s) that are unplayable.

And even if you wait a year to unlock those slots they will still be there. SOE has only deleted characters once that I'm aware of on EQ2, and not in the last 5-6 years.

you will only be able to play the last 3 characters you played before you lost your gold membership status. if you return to gold status, or buy the character slot unlocks, you will have access to 1 or more characters (depending on how many slot unlocks you purchase). But you will not lose the characters, just access to them.
