Greetings all,
I am new to the Everquest universe and just had a couple of questions. (Right now I am a level 7 Rogue in case that matters)
1. when I look at weapons to buy, I see that they have a stat that says they are either "primary" or "Secondary". What exactally does this do for your character.?
2. What does the "Hide" ability do?
3. What does the "Sneak" ability do?
I will keep in simple for now.

1. From my experience, primary and secondary don't mean much at your level, not until lvl 20 when you can dual wield. You can dual wield a primary and a secondary, or two secondarys, but not two primarys. Other than that, don't see any other differences.
2.Hide allows you to invis and stay stationary for 5 minutes. Remember, don't move or invis goes bye-bye. Good for recharging health and mana in a dangerous spot without being attacked.
3. Sneak allows you to "slowly" sneak up on a mob and get in the first blow. I never had much use for it.

Thanks for the reply so quickly.
a few more questions:
1.When hiding can you still use potions/food to regenerate quicker, just as long as you don't move?
2. Do you know of a book that I can purchase that gives a complete knolwedge of not only abilities, but also of their descriptions. I have already purchesed the EQ bible, but I was wondering if their was a different book I should purchase?

1. You can eat and drink. I forget, but I think you may have to do it before you cast hide. Try it.
2. The only book I know of is the Prima guide you have. Other than that, this site is the best for info that I've found. But that's just this player's opinion.

As a young rogue I never used Hide or Sneak. They were those abilities that just sat on the shelf and collected dust. (wait i did use hide sometimes just standing outside of halas to impress people...back when we were ALL noobs.)
