Topic says it all. What class do you plan on starting with (if you haven't played in Beta) or what class do you have your heart set on being your main (for those who are extensively involved in Beta)?

For me, I'd say it's a toss up between Hunter and Burglar. I've always loved doing ranged damage, but the whole starting conjunctions thing (kind of like SCs in FFXI) also has my interest perked. However, I haven't really messed with Burglar in Beta, so I have no clue.

I'm rolling two characters. Minstrel first and burglar second. Support roles suit me best.

I'm sure I'll roll a hunter, because that always seems to be my first choice in a game. The Loremaster will likely get a chance from me. If I convince my wife to give it a shot with me, I'll let her choose whatever class she wants first, then pick whatever seems to support her choice best [:whipped:]

For me, support is kind of worn out. Anything like Paladin in WoW will not get even a first look from me. Mainly because I have basically been worn out by all the arguments, bashing, etc about whether or not Paladin should only heal or be given a chance to tank, or given a chance to melee and actually be a hybrid.

So, I won't be going there, if a class is even like that. Like I said, I've mainly been playing as a Hunter.

I fell in love with Ranger in FFXI so I have been playing a hunter mainly. I dig the job. Solos pretty easy and I am gimp bad on equipment. Played a little Lore Master. I have always gravitated towards mage types, I'll prolly play it out more once I get Hunter up a few lvls.

I don't know about you but I know that I roll twenties.

Eventually I hope I am able to play every class, and I hope Turbine lets us have more than 5 characters per account.

I am/was a White Mage (mostly) in FFXI.
I am a Rogue and a Warlock in WoW (mostly those two, but have played hem all).
I was a Shaman (mostly) in EQ2.

I am not sure what I am going to roll in LotRO.

Maybe some of you will have some opinions on what I should roll considering what I have been in the past... albeit something similiar or something very different.

Any ideas?

Playing around the stress test, I rolled 2 hunters, 1 human and 1 elf. Ended up liking the elf more. Then I rolled 2 champions, an elf and a human. Liked the human champion better. Once open beta starts I'll go with the elf hunter and human champion as my first two characters.

I started the game 6 - 8 weeks ago and have my Champion (Davarto) up to L48. He has become quiet handy, even without acquiring any Legendary traits yet.
I have started up a 2nd character Nawbert a Minstrel hobbit, and I am finding he is more powerful a character than my Champ was at the equivalent level, with the unlimited healing and the ability to mez a foe, he is a powerhouse little unit when it comes to one-on-one battles, especially against bosses.

He's L22 at the moment, and I'm using my L48 champ to tailor him the best armour for his level, and collect the high end Historian items for his craft.
Is a good match if you can use your high level first character to help your new character get a leg up :)
