SubSpace Emmisary SSBBFollow

So I just finished it at around 8 hours of game time. Heres is some info I came accross to help those who havent finished it yet. This may contain some spoilers.

1. Collect all the stickers you can and utilize the sticker system to your advantage. I made link a bad mother by the end.

2. Trophys are everywhere, and you can even make your own trophys witht he golden disk item.

3. Everything is easy up till the maze at the end.

4. You will unlock everyone but wolf, toon link, and jigglypuff in SSE.

Maze Tips

This is where I spent a good 3 hours or so in this damn place. It should of been left but there is just so much back tracking.

1. Before going into the maze get everyones trophy (you will know what im talking about). I apparentl missed 1 or two and had to alter my final setup.

2. Save points replenish your health and some will allow you to teleport around the maze.

3. You dont have to kill everything in the zone you are in. If you can run past it, do so. There is a lot of backtracking in the maze and its time consuming and health wasting to kill everything.

Final Boss Tips

1. Pick your very best setup

2. This boss isnt a push over like the others. He can teleport around the board and all his attacks are mostly one hit kills from 0.

3. He has a move that cant be blocked as far as I know. HE will fly into the background spread his wings and blast the entire screen. This move is instant death and I have not figured out how to block out.

4. Be patient but dont wait around. When hes "resting" you need to be attacking with everything. If you wait to long he will do his insta kill move and he has done it back to back before.

5. It took me 2 trys to beat him so dont be discouraged if you dont. Im pretty compitent in my ability in this game and he pwned me the first time and it was on normal.

Jigglypuff, Toon Link, Wolf

1. Dont underestimate Jigglypuff or Toon Link. For some reason I had to fight Jigglypuff three times before I can kill her. She seems to be a lot faster and can easily dodge attacks. The good news is Jigglypuffs smasha ttack is easily avoidable.

1a. Toon link gave me a bit of problem also. His stage has some quirky madness going on to it that can mess you up. To the left there is a catapult that will shoot you off the level and in the back cannons fire at you that will pwn you. Also there seems to be a lot of bombs contained in items on this stage.

2. To get wolf you have to beat the boss challenge. There are 10 bosses to ebat and 3 heart containers for you. You can do this on easy and everything is fine up until tabuu. He still does his instant pwn attack that is undodgeable. The good news is you have to be fox to get wolf doing this and fox has a good melee air attack. So zerg him down.

fyi, you can get wolf by returning to "the ruins" after beating the subspace emissary, and a new door will appear at a certain point in the level. Take that and a cutscene takes place, then you fight wolf.

Yeah I know that but I was and still am sick of SSE by now. Does anyone know how to get the last 20%?? Ive beaten the game but still have 20% left to complete.

even if you already have wolf and those guys, you might want to fight them in the SSE(dunno if it makes a difference)

the other % probably revolves around which trophies you have collected(the gold disc item that turns monsters into trophies - you might need that) and perhaps even how many stickers you have. You might also need to go back to the next to last missions and collect the trophies of people you may have missed.

20%? My friend finished it at 98% on his first run (took him 12 hours though). You should be more thorough going through levels, you undoubtedly missed some trophies. Any level that does not have a crown on it on your map means you missed something (usually has a green flag).

As for stickers, I just started using them yesterday, but I couldn't tell if it made a difference or not. I just used a few to try it though... how much is say, +10 damage? How much is needed to be really noticable?

I loaded marth up with +launch power stickers and + weapon damage stickers. His ^B move will finish most enemies in a single strike.

What difficulty have you all been playing it on. I've been going through intense mostly because I'm sure I'll have to anyway for one of the challenges. I'm about 40% through so far. I have to say it is actually intense, the enemies deal 20-50% damage per hit with extreme knockback. I don't look for secret doors to get the extra items, I look for secret doors to find a friggin save point.

I chose normal, but I'm a wuss.

I was soooo proud of myself when I finally beat classic mode on normal without using a continue(I've only played classic mode using link, and only so I could obtain toon link. Had I used sonic or ike it probably would have been a breeze)

I still have some areas that dont have green flags so that must be it.

Seriously you have some large ********** You are going to have one hell of a time in the maze. Im pretty good I ran through classic with link on intense with 3 lives and had to continue twice. Went into the hand fight once with 1 life and got rocked by shiek after 3 bad bomb hits.

I consider my self a pretty good fighter but I would dred intense in SSEE. Good luck if you make it man cause that last fight will be the hardest fight you will ever fight.

As for my 80% I wasnt hauling through the game I just was casually making it through to the end.

Also for those of you who have fought tabuu, have you found away to dodge his one attack I spoke of earlier.

One more thing.

Who is your top 3 fighters.

1. Link
2. Lucario
3. Rob

His big burst attack , I am fairly certain is evadable - you need to ring yourself out before it hits you =]

Actually, no - I think you need to jump off-screen to evade it. Id' wager that fox, falco, wolf, and sonic could pull it off.

Tabuu was semi-easy. For some reason Ike's and Marth's up smash took HUGE chunks of his life bar away(I'm talking inches at a time, which might vary from TV to TV.I play on a 42" screen)

Just beat SSE, took me a few tries but that's because I had missed my best character's trophy in subspace and had to go back to get it after I failed miserably the first try on Tabuu. Stickers seemed to help a lot (playing on Hard)...

Also, twice I managed to dodge his insta-gib 3 circles of death. Most of the time I could dodge the first and then the 2nd would get me, but once with Samus and once with Fox I somehow managed to dodge all 3 of them with well timed (read: frantically hitting R) air dodges. It was amazing Smiley: grin... when I finally beat him I had only lost 3/6 characters Smiley: tongue.

Now to go back for Wolf / Jiggly / Toon Link...

where do you pick up toon link in SSE? I got him via classic mode by beating it with link, but would really like to be able to use toon link in SSE(which requires that you find him in SSE)

This video (obvious warning: spoilers) will show you where to go for Toon Link (not a great video, but good enough).

I am 75% through the SSE... But for some reason Marth isn't unlocked. I have no idea why, I can play as him in the SSE, but not in regular matches or anything... It's strange. Is it supposed to be that way?

Also, where do I get my Jigglypuff?

Have you gotten the message that he has joined your team?

Yeah, I'm just about done with the SSE. But he's just not there for multiplayer.

Characters unlocked thru the SSE don't show up in multiplayer until you beat SSE I don't think... I could be wrong though.

I'd guess it just glitched. Redo that level on a different difficulty. I bet that knocks Marth loose.

So, I'm finally done with SSE (played it through on hard, Tabuu....eeeevil...). I unlocked all characters in it (including the three secret ones you need to go back for), and my percentage is at 84% or so.

Other than trophies, do I get anything else out of the remaining 16% (like CDs)?

You will get trophies and stickers mainly, with probably a few CDs as well. Either way it is worth going back for 100% imo. You probably already know this but for other ppls' benefit, areas in the SSE with a green flag means there is more stuff to find in there. Areas with the glowy crown are fully complete. Smiley: smile
