GC controller questionFollow

Something weird happened to my controller.

for the past few days, it's been randomly firing off, even when i didn't press it.

now, all of the sudden, mid brawl fight(playing ikkian for the tourney) i'm hanging over a ledge, and the rumble pack just starts going nuts. and while its doing this, i can't move, thusly, i fall and die. now, my controller isn't registering anything at all. it's a gameshark turbo(i don't use the turbo, i just like the shape/feel of it)

of course, ikkian is awesome and lets me have a redo, so i swap in my spare controller(the one my GC came with) and go figure, the up on mah C-stick dies. then the joy stick, then everything else.

are my controllers just old, or is it something else? -_-

By dies do you mean stops working completely? I've had a c stick break on me before, but most of my GC controller problems are simply a loss in spring tension, with no real breaking.

I've never heard of issues like yours and am slightly concerned it might be an issue with your system, though that is doubtful.

GC controllers can be a ***** sometimes with misfiring joysticks. I'm sure the nunchuk on the wiimote will do it soon enough.
