Hello all,
I have been playing FFXI now since the NA release in '04. My current character is about 3 years old (75 PLD 75SAM) and I've been doing endgame for over two years and I'm getting kind of bored. Latter this month Im going to be graduating from college, starting my new job, and moving into a new apartment and I'm thinking its time for a change of pace perhaps. I played LotRO last May for about 2 weeks and I really enjoyed it, but I found that my linkshell (guild for non-ffxi ppl) kept me so busy that I didnt have time for it. Now that I am interested in LotRO again I was wondering how the game is doing? FFXI is arguably in its dieing phase and the community is really not "noob-friendly". Im not saying that ppl are mean, but more there are less and less new ppl playing and the current fan base consists of long established end-gamers. Is it too late to get started in this game or is it still in the growth phase? Any insight about the game, startup, the community, endgame, ect. would be greatly appreciated!!! Sorry for wall-o'-text :x .... thanks guys!!
~Mijo
Edit: MY character was a lvl 15ish Gaurdian... does Turbine store characters that have been deactivated or will I most likely have to start anew? And by some fluke chance I CAN get on my old character, does the resting xp thing apply to deactivated account? Sorry for 20 questions :X ...one love
