Been playing Mass Effect.
I know, I know.
Old game is old.
But I JUST got it.
It's pretty damn good, I must say.
Traded in a hand full of sh*tty games to my local Gamestop and got the game AND a $24.99 store credit.
Yeah, one of the games I traded in was Baroque for the Wii. PLEASE DON'T BUY THAT GAME IT'S HORRIBLE.

it sounds so cool though! Like, the objectie isn't to beat the game...it's to die a bunch and figure out wtf is wrong?

Idk, that's the impression I got.

I keep hearing it kida shares the same mythos as the Persona and Digital Devil Saga games... even if I'm a big fan of those, Baroque is still a pile of crap?

From the reviews I just read (googled it up a bit). It sounds an awful lot like Breath of Fire V: Dragon Quarter.

Breath of Fire V was a horrible game. I picked it up thinking "Hey, I liked most of the other BoF games, lets get it!"

Turns out it's a constant dungeon crawl, where you go as far as you can, then restart, saving your level, and a few pieces of gear and items. Then you try again, hoping to get a little farther down the depths of this seemingly never ending world.

Baroque seems to have this "go as far as you can, then restart" theme in it as well (what I gathered from the reviews).

Something about an RPG-styled game where there is no real safe zone, (a town where I can go freely, and remove myself from the main quest)... it just doesn't seem right.

I bought BoFV cause I was a fan of the first 4...and was like "WTF is this sh*t!"
An RPG with a time limit isn't ******* right.
