Ok first of all I used to play SWG even after the NGE. I started playing in March of 2005. I ended my active playing around december of 2006. My first question is, do i qualify for the veteran free play time thing. Also i would like to know if alot of the bugs are gone? Is this game that bad? and how are the servers, are they dead quite, or is there still servers with a high population?

Thanks in advance...

Umm to be honest the reason I hadn't answered until now is that I didn't know the answers but I guess I can give it a try.

Q. My first question is, do i qualify for the veteran free play time thing.

A. Not sure, When I left the game I had three accounts of varying ages and start times and they all received some free game time on my return so at a guess I would say yes you do but don't quote me (your best bet is to just log in and find out).

Q. Also i would like to know if alot of the bugs are gone?

A. A lot of the bugs I remember are gone but as with all MMO's new ones have appeared and old ones come back. As far as I can tell the game is in much better shape now than when I played before.

Q. Is this game that bad?

A. Nope its not and the dev team have done a lot to improve things and add new content, but I think the only person who can really answer this is the individual as we all want different things from the game.

Q. how are the servers, are they dead quite, or is there still servers with a high population?

A. Some are very dead, others are moderately dead and a few are packed, there are about 4 servers that show "heavy load" and about 6 that show "medium load" ther rest are struggling.

I never played this game when said bugs were bad, but even now as a new player, the bugs are bad enough to make me decide not to buy it. I've had 2 client crashes, and bugs at every turn of game play. The programmers and designers are very sad. The game play itself is ok and space missions are fun, but I think SOE needs to pull the guys off EQ2 and have them fix up SWG. They can also lose the manager who says they can't afford to have more than 2 characters per account on each galaxy. Because SOE sure can afford it on their other games.

Game crashes can happen for many reasons, the most common one, is a virus! how clean is your system, are your drivers up to date, is your system up to it, how old is your hard drive, is it starting to fail etc. The reason i make this point is that SWG is probably at its most stable, as for pulling guys off of EQ2 to work on SWG, the one thing we dont want is an EQ in Space! as for the limit of char's per server, there are very valid reasons for doing so, not least of which is to limit housing/buildings proliferation, which would undoubtedly occur, not to mention the inclusion of yet more 'ghost villages' of wannabee mayors who can't get the residents by other means! Think yourself lucky, that there are 2 char's per server, it used to be only 1!
