I haven't seens anything in a magseal container since I have been back so I assume they no longer do anything but they used to be locked and contain some low end loot back in the early days of the game.

i think i remember finding a temple on i think yavin, fought my way in, and found the empty box.

would be nice if they put a reason to explore those kinds of things, even if it wasnt even a powerful item.

SWG is somewhat of a frankenstien, with obsolete appendages like mageseal container- which never was much in the 1rst place. maybe someone was lucky and looted an armor attachment from one but now it does nothing, they were trying to add their version of a "treasure chest" a long time ago, but PvE was plowed through even back then, i vaguley recall looting something from one but it wasnt worth much that i remember exactly what it was

Yes before the NGE the magseal containers, and some other odd ball locked chests, would have little amounts of loot in them. At one time you could get a player with the skill to "slice" the lock, or you might even have the ability yourself depending on your skill set. But now the are nothing but memories for us veteran SWG players.

ssssh its like the proverbials, you know, dont mention the war to the germans kind of thing, the merest hint that there is life before nge brings waves of nostalgia that reciprocate to atomic levels of destruction. it really isnt pretty..

so, those forbidden words, are;
cu especially pre! rangers, doctors, slicing, creature handlers, the mining outpost! umm.. and quite a few others, but to put too many in a single sentence is just asking for trouble..

all those little things preCU were kinda cool but it was a lot of timesink.. lines for buffs, 10 min shuttle waits, some ppl enjoyed socializing but i never enjoyed the random /duels when i was rolling with a non-PVP template at coronet SP.

fortunatley most of those ppl who enjoyed challenging crafters to duels quit when NGE hit.

one thing that is turly i miss is there was no way to see your combat level. kill those random proud and dueling master marksmen with some smuggler/pistoleer skills while sporting a novice scout tag. you could not see someones level back then
