Unfortunately no. Despite being a huge fan of the games I can't justify buying a Wii for it. I was rather surprised when they decided to put it on a non-sony system given the past history.

Depends on the reviews of the game. I already have three other games I want to get before it. Super Mario Galaxy, Fallout 3, and Final Fantasy 13 rank higher on my "must have" list than Monster Hunter 3 does. Although I was interested in the first game, but never got around to purchasing it. If someone does purchase it, please post a review of it. The more reviews I can read of something, the more informed I can be when I make my purchase. :D

I have this game on my Wii already (I imported it). It's a fun game, and it comes with a controller for you to use(well, with what I bought), which is awesome. It works exactly like the PSP controls, except only better. (No hook).

It's fun, I didn't get too far with it and got bored because I can't understand moonspeak. But the Slash Axe is awesome and fun to use.

I think the battles are fun, especially under water. Whole new ball game under there. And online seems solid, but you have to pay. :(

I'm going to pick up the English version when it comes out.

I'll think about it. It does look fun, I had the PSP one but got tired of it.
On the Wii it just sounds fun..

But 1st I'm getting Super Street Fighter.

Anyone have this yet? I haven't had time to pick it up.

Yeah i picked it up on the 20th, its pretty much what you would expect from a MH game do quests kill monsters make monster parts into better gear to kill bigger monsters. One thing i like about this one is your not limited to just doing quests to get items you can actually go out into the woods at anytime to gather materials or hunt available monsters, the monsters in the wild start out small but as you progress through quests more types will appear in the non-quest area. I havent tried it online yet my Wii seems to have a fear of the internet (dont know why it wont connect) but from what ive heard its pretty fun online.

So after playing MH3 online for a little over a week i have got to say this game is addicting as hell, long has a game been that a game was fun that while playing it i will look at the clock and see its 6 a.m. and wonder where the time went (last one like this was PSO on the dreamcast). My ingame name is Kyrin and my Capcom ID is UZF5ZA if anyone wants to meet up and kill stuff together :)

You have to buy a bundle to get the controller but its only about 10 bucks more so its a deal, and if you have the old smaller classic controller it works aswell.

For those who don't yet have the Motion Plus controllers, if you have a membership to Costco or know someone who does, I highly recommend buying them there. You can buy the package with a controller, the motion plus, and the nunchunk for $60, where as if you buy the same thing from Game Stop (although the nunchunk is separate for some reason) it's $75.

There are 0 costcos around me. I hear it is a pretty neat place, but then I'm also told it is the same thing as Sam's Club.
So if Costco has a deal like this, I'm sure I could score a like one at SAm's. Now to just get some cash XD

Does this game not work with the normal wiimote? I already forked out the money for 2 motion plus modules, I'll be damned if im going to dish out more money for required peripherals.

We have both here, but I only have a Sam's Club membership (they have a better deal for students). Unfortunately, my understanding is that Costco is actually superior when it comes to electronics. Next time I'm at Sam's I'll keep an eye out for this though.

It works with the wii mote. But man I could NOT imagine playing it like so. I already have a classic controller (I got for playing virtual console games) so while the CC pro looks really good I don't really need nor want to buy another peripheral. But I must say the game itself is AMAZING! I'm about a good 65 hours into it and still don't tire of it. My name is Sojiro on there and while I don't have my ID memorized next time I get on there i'll edit this post and put it in here if anyone wants to add me sometime.
