Have heard some good things about the game and love the setting, but also heard a lot of bad things. So I wonder is there an option to try the game ? Couldn't find anything about this on the official site and suppose the answer is no since it's a rather new game.
If anyone knows if there is a way to get a look at the game without buying it, I would appreciate it.

As far as I know the only trial keys you can get are guest keys from people that have accounts. Unfortunately they only get 2 if I remember correctly and will let you play for 5 days.
It's only one per person, but it you ask for one at forums.startrekonline.com you may get one from a helpful player. Unfortunately I already handed mine out.

Actually there is a demo out that you can get from the Atari site that will let you play the tutorial and 1 mission, the good news is that you have unlimited time so you can check out the different classes :)

Yes, they released the demo and veteran awards on May 7th. And they let people that had disabled their accounts play May 7th through May 10th.
