Finally, a new Wii title I've been looking forward to! I will be picking this up today or tomorrow and can't wait to get started on it. Anyone else been looking forward to this? The release actually snuck up on me, but I'm very excited that it's out.

I know! I read an article on it in GameInformer a month or two ago and they didn't mention a release date then... and then I happened to be in a gamestop the other day and saw a sign that said May 23rd! I was very much like WTF MUST GET. So I preordered it just in case and will be picking it up asap :).

Fudge yeah Yoshi!

To be a little more specific. I believe I'll enjoy it like I enjoyed the first game. My only fault with he first game was that most of the worlds were very linear, and I don't expect that to change in the sequel. However, even being directed so narrowly towards a shiny, glowy goal it says a lot about the game that I found plenty of time to ***** around just launching myself into orbit around small 'toids. I think you know you're having fun in a game when you stop to just ***** around.

Yea this game kinda makes me want to buy a Nintendo Wii again. I thought the first Mario Galaxy was really good. They are really cheap now, like $200 with wii sports and resort I think?

Finally got to play this for a couple hours last night and it is even better than the first! All the good stuff from the last game is still in there, the controls work exactly the same and are very comfortable for me... and then they throw in Yoshi and it works perfectly. I can't wait to really get into the game and see what else they have added. So far the drill and the cloud are pretty cool, but I definitely like the drill more (it allows you to drill through planets, going to the other side or, in some cases, going to a hidden area in the center of a planet).

I did end up getting another Wii finally. I bought the New Super Mario Bros game used fairly cheap. Game is ok single player mode but on 2 player just makes it more difficult. Constantly bouncing off the other player causing you to run into enemies, fall, etc. I can't imagine playing this on 4 player mode it would just be a huge mess. Going to have to get Mario Galaxy 2 soon.
