you are implying Borderlands gameplay of "shoot dude in head", is significantly better than both DA and ME?
Yes, by a huge margin.
Well that pretty much ends this discussion imo.
You mind explaining the appeal of "press X/Y till it's dead then go back to reading walls of text"? Because I don't get it, if you wanted to do that you could just tap an unplugged controller while watching Lord of the Rings w/ subtitles and it probably be more entertaining.

Yes i do mind explaining, because there is obviously no convincing you, nor myself. As shown by the previously quoted statement.

I played through Borderlands as berserker. I played some with a friend, and that was amusing for a while, but my internet here is crap for online games so I went mostly solo. I have to say, by the time I made it to the caverns or whatever where the vault was in, I was just using my berserk in order to sprint through everything instead of actually kill anybody because it had become so monotonous and tedious it wasn't fun anymore. I just wanted to see the end of the game. It probably didn't help that the game was really easy. Even the big fights against the big monsters, like skagzilla, was super easy, it just took a long time to kill him.

Honestly, I'm sure I would have had more fun playing with friends, but as is if you don't know anyone who wants or owns this game, don't touch it, unless you like a boring shooter with no story. The only thing that I really liked was listening to that one woman's journals of her expedition. They were amusing.

Well, sale's finally over today and I think I did pretty good at controlling myself. Got the following:

Blood Bowl: Pleasantly Surprised
Crysis Warhead: More of the same, good to me.
Osmos: Nice little prog for my netbook
Overlord pack: Meh...
Puzzle Kingdoms: another decent game for the netbook.
Saints Row 2: (dont buy for PC, its a bad bad port.)
X-Com pack: I havent played yet, and i might not ever play it. :S

Grand total 53 bucks. not bad!

puzzle kingdoms
monkey island complete
xcom complete
audiosurf
zeno clash
red faction: guerilla

and finally

the mother@#%^ing witcher enhanced edition. two big thumbs up!

as great as that is for $50 or so, i know there's no way i'll be able to resist running out and getting witcher 2 at full price.

Hah, I did horrible. Probably doubled my library. Ended up getting:

Beat Hazard
EVE Online
Half-Life 2: Episode One
Half-Life 2: Episode Two
Killing Floor
Left 4 Dead
Mass Effect
Overlord
Sid Meier's Civilization 3

The prices were way too good to pass up though, and for the most part I don't regret my purchases. (I haven't even tried out Overlord yet though - no time with everything else I got.)

I built a computer last summer for gaming, but never got to load it up with games as I got preoccupied with a particularly difficult year at Uni.

RETRIBUTION!!
