Lego UniverseFollow

I checked my email today to find a beta invite to Lego Universe.

I hadn't heard much about this other than the announcement trailer, anyone excited about this? I figured I'd give it a shot.

I was also wondering if anyone knew how far along in beta they were. I got a Starcraft II beta invite the weekend before it was released, likely because they were sending out mass invites to stress test the servers in preparation of release day. Anyone know if this is the case for Lego Universe? The release date seems to be in October, so it looks like I just got semi-lucky.

EDIT: Ah, crap. It has an NDA on it. Not sure exactly how binding it is, I don't speak legalese. Here's an excerpt:

Quote:
Confidentiality
All pieces of information of the game, whether submitted orally or in writing, documents, drawings and/or any other kind of material (refer to as “Information”) which is received during the Beta Test of LEGO Universe, until launch of game, shall be treated strictly confidential. Beta Testers agree to maintain the secrecy associated with the Beta Test during the term of the Beta Test, and after the expiration of the term of this Agreement. In the event of a breach of this section of the Agreement, the LEGO Group reserves the right to any and all actions available to the LEGO Group under the law to protect its rights hereunder.

So it looks like no screenshots or anything of substance from me.

What's weird is that Google is telling me that beta invites went out in March, but that's the last I've heard of it. It might be the NDA keeping things silent, but I'm just wondering if it's been going on all this time or if this is the first real wave going out.

My roommate got an invite back in March when they first went out. I think he said the servers were only up twice a week or so back then. I'm surprised they haven't sent out more waves before now, at least that I've heard of.

I got a download error while downloading the client. I'll try again later.

I got in. Started the game up late one night, ran through the first little bit of it and logged because I was tired. It's definitely geared towards a younger crowd, but it could still be fun for adults. I need to try it out some more.
