this game called RIFT..?Follow

been some bugs with the Bull Rush ability for warrior on my end, the expected things like it will only charge halfway to the mob at times. If you have autorun on and charge it keeps on autorunning which is kind of annoying for me.

The rifts in the low level area were ridiculously easy due to the huge amount of players in the zone, so it's hard to say how challenging they really are.

Those are my only complaints. The game runs hella good for a beta and I had a blast. Need more chatter though :P

Son, i am disappoint.

I bought the guild charter, but unfortunately was sadly mistaken on the price. It was 100 gp, not 10, which means I just barely had enough for it... so anyone who wants to pitch in to help lessen my losses would be very appreciated. I should be on tomorrow afternoon/evening, if I see you on I will hit you people up to sign it but also be looking for me. Allegory has already signed it, so need 3 more sigs.

So I tried a single game of pvp tonight, will do more tomorrow. I queued with a friend, and we were both 18, but it was surprisingly easy to win. I got the feeling that most of the players didn't understand the objective and were simply attacking anyone they saw.



Edit: A few more games and I realized how rusty I am at basic pvp skills. I have difficulty moving while use shift+#, Quick 180 air jumps are hard, I tend to stand still too much. I just don't feel like I own my character, that I can use it as freely as a natural limb.

I also think the soul system and overall art design hurts pvp a bit. I can't really tell what I'm facing, and so I can only react to it generically.

What's your character's name? Just curious...

I might as well chime in. Only got a couple of hours of playtime in last night, but went from 22 to 24. Warfronts seem a bit more balanced this time; won 4, lost 2, which beat the loldefiantsteamrollers 6-1 I had last phase. It's distressing to go in and see a ton of level 20-21s on your team while the Guardians have a bunch of 25-26s

That said, I've been near the top each time in terms of overall favor, as I regularly dot up all the enemies and then check my raid frames to heal folks. Necromancer itself is slightly worthless as my pet dies off way too quickly; but the "damage yourself to heal others" spells combined with chloromancer spells and warlock self-healing make for great survivability and functionality as a PvP healer. After those matches last night though I still have some anger at the reward system. I have almost 4000 favor, already own the blue shoulders for level 25, but am still only 2125/10,000 to honored Moribund notoriety (but the honored reward isn't available until 35 anyway, ugh). If I do the Codex some more I could get two more items at level 25, but I still need like 1100 notoriety and I don't care for that game.

I also started in Stonefield, which was pretty much the same as far as quests go compared to Freemarch. The hubs seem a bit better, and the chains longer. Hoping to hit 30 by the end of the phase, but I kinda doubt I will; just not enough time.

The controls are so close to WoW that I don't even really have to think about what I am doing at all. Strafing in a big circle of doom while filling someone full of arrows or jump shot kiting feel just like my Frost mage or hunter in WoW. I felt a bit bad for some of the people I blew up last night that were standing still as I zip around behind them.

I love PvP and play quite a bit. I just also enjoy turning off all chat and climbing up a hill and looking around at all the cool scenery. Immersion is important to me especially when playing a new game with such nice landscapes as this one has so far. Plus I have to admit I don't really enjoy seeing names like LOLPWNYOUBRAH when I am geeking out in full shiny new fantasy game mode.

Thats why I went Faeblight RP.(Robe and Wizard hat not included)



I'm not sure I can spell it... >.> I went random name generator on the ranger and got a really long elfy sounding one. Its something like "Seachhalan" but that may not be exactly right lol. I will check after work when I have time to log in. Going to try to stick with the guardian ranger tonight to see how far I can get before beta ends.

Fun facts about character creation - apparently right now how you size your character's face is not saved. Hair color and style will be, but if you give your character extreme characteristics, they will be randomized when you enter the game.

I've played in 2 betas. I never even updated or logged in for the one that's going on now. I really wanted to like this game too. You guys make it sound kind of fun, but I just can't seem to get into it.

So while I was logged in some in /4 were talking about beta going on til Sunday?
This true? Would be BA if so.



Any big reason why?

I've seen some in the world chat try to link it to WoW (WoW clone), but having played WoW for many years it feels nothing like WoW (other then questing = EXP/Gear).

All their times are PST. So that's 1 pm EST. On Saturday. :)

Also, tomorrow at 5:30 CST I will plan on being online in Sanctum for those of you who want to get the guild going. Might be useful for future betas (and useful in that I won't feel like I wasted 100gold on it :P).
