Anyone played this?

Got my hands on it yesterday and played around with it for a couple of hours way past my bedtime. The humor is... special, but I find it hilarious. The game is utterly insane.

For those who have no idea what I'm talking about, here's the trailer:

For those who've seen the trailer, here's a mission trailer that shows some of the insanity that is Saints Row (Warning: Language):

Like most sandbox games, though, after doing the prologue missions which were all linear, I found myself overwhelmed by the sudden freedom to do whatever I wanted. This resulted in me driving to a neighboring gang and waging all out war on them, the police, the army and even my own gang at one point, I think.

I'll not spoil it too much, but shark guns, apocalyptic boxing gloves and singing along to jingles while in a high speed chase did happen.

I only played a little bit, just after that awesome over the top airplane level, and a smidge passed it, then went back to Skyrim. I said it elsewhere, but it's a lot like Grand Theft Auto, but with the Awesome Limitor removed. There is no limit to the awesome.

It's on the list somewhere after Skyrim, AC:R, and probably Batman:AC. By the time I get around to it it'll probably be half the price it is now.

LOVED this game. This was actually the first Saints Row game i'd played for more than a couple minutes. Made me wonder why I bothered with GTA.

When my character (a very muscular male with the derpette hairdo and a female russian voice) was driving in the car with the black guy and they started singing Sublime's What I Got together, I just drove around beyond my destination so I could listen to them finish. It was a really nice touch.

My favorite WTF moment was after I was drugged and sold for sex then woke up naked and buzzed attacking people with the giant ***** bat. That or the gimp chariot chase... tough decision.

Hilarious game though.
