That's actually a pretty good description of it, to an extent. It's a more "full" world than, say, FFXII (which I thought felt like an empty MMO a lot of the time); there are all sorts of resource nodes, exploration locations, and destroyable objects to interact with. But it definitely had that MMO feel to it, complete with the "!" to mark quests. It does feel like they didn't know if they wanted Skyrim or an MMO, so they made some weird ******* child of the two concepts. Maybe it'll shake the feeling later... but it might just get worse, ha!

My boss's sister worked for 38 studios & said it was basically world building for their MMO. Which is now owned by the state of RI, which as I understand it, isn't versed in game development. So we'll never get to see the payoff. But Curt Schilling lost all his money in the process, so there's that.

I think there was an article or something pointing to the would-be MMO. Probably a thread in these forums somewhere.

Yeah, I wrote it Smiley: laugh

One of my last ones, it was about "how to not have your MMO fail" or something like that Smiley: grin

If anyone is planning to buy the current Stalker bundle, make sure you by them separately instead. Thanks to Steam's magical bundle price generator, the bundle costs $4 more that the individual games together.

Also Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition is $7.50.

The Last Remnant (Steam) is on sale on GMG for 3.74 and can use 30% off code GMG30-DPLIM-DN831 ($2.62 after). I know a few people wanted that game and we missed out of that bundle on Amazon a while ago.

If you did the GMG survey awhile back and haven't used your voucher yet, you're out of luck. I tried using mine yesterday and it came up with an expired notice. Since it was supposed to be good until the end of the year, I submitted a support ticket, and this is the answer I got:

Hi,

The reason we had to pull the date closer was because it was an associated discount for completing our survey.

We had an absolutely massive response within just a few short days and hit (and surpassed drastically) the quota we needed to hit for the data. The discount code was also being spread at an incredible rate around the web. While we'd naturally expect this to happen anyway, eventually, it was still a bit of a shock to how much of an impact it made.

We could have stopped the voucher code outright, but we felt it would be better to give you guys a solid week's time to make use of it. While we understand that could annoy some folks, especially if you were waiting for payday in December, there was an incredible number of people who were using it already.

This was announced in our newsletter as well as our Twitter and Facebook pages.

I hope this helps and sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Kind regards,
Green Man Gaming
Customer Service

So, that's annoying.

I see that ePSXe finally started up again and released a well working PSX emulator for Android, but they charge 4 dollars for it.

"It" doesn't have anything copyrighted. It's merely an emulator. You have to provide the games you own yourself.

Personally I haven't played it on the Android, but the latest version of ePSXe that came out at the same time seems to be just about perfect. Used to be that 1.7.0 couldn't change discs correctly, so you had to use 1.5.2 or 1.6.0, but the new 1.8.0 seems to function just fine (and has gameshark stuff if you are into cheats).

My god playing without a dedicated controller would suck on 99.9% of ps games. I would definitely get one of those mini android controllers if i did that.

Edit: Spelling.

Amazon is offering a $5 coupon on digitally distributed PC products to those who purchased a product on Amazon from publishers 2K, Ubisoft, EA and THQ during 2012. Some of these games can be activated on Steam, while others are Origin. The real fine print is when the coupons can actually be used -- anyway, it's a lot of details, which we'll get into after the break.

OK, 2K is offering $5 coupons on all digitally distributed 2K PC products on sale at Amazon (over $9.99) to every customer who purchased a 2K product in 2012. Coupons can be used from December 26 until New Year's Eve.

All products activate on Steam.

2K Mega Pack - $29.99 ($24.99 after coupon) contains:

Bioshock
Bioshock 2
Borderlands GOTY
Civ City: Rome
Duke Nukem Forever Complete (DNF + 2 DLCs)
Mafia 2
Civilization 5 GOTY
Civilization 4 Complete
The Stronghold Collection

2K Shooter Pack - $9.99 ($4.99 after coupon) contains:

Bioshock
Bioshock 2
Borderlands GOTY
Duke Nukem Forever Complete (DNF + 2 DLCs)

2K Strategy Pack - $19.99 ($14.99 after coupon) contains:

Civilization 5 GOTY
Civilization 5 Gods & Kings
Civilization 4 Complete
The Stronghold Collection

The WTF Pack - $9.99 ($4.99 after coupon) contains:

Borderlands GOTY
Duke Nukem Forever (not complete)
The Darkness 2

The Desert to Sea Pack - $9.99 (4.99 after coupon) contains:

Bioshock
Bioshock 2
Spec Ops: The Line

Ubisoft does the $5 coupons on digitally distributed PC games on Amazon (over $4.99) to every customer who purchased a Ubisoft product in 2012. Coupons can only be used today, December 25. Humbug, indeed!

None of these activate on Steam.

Assassin's Creed Revelations - $7.49 ($2.49 after coupon)
Assassin's Creed Revelations Gold - $13.60 ($8.60 after coupon)
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood Deluxe - $7.49 ($2.49 after coupon)

Sensing the theme so far? Ok, so, Electronic Arts/PC digital distribution/over $4.99/ every customer who purchased a EA product in 2012. Coupons, like Ubi's, can only be used today, December 25.

All products activate on EA's digital distribution service Origin.

Mass Effect Trilogy - $29.99 ($24.99 after coupon) contains:

Mass Effect
Mass Effect 2
Mass Effect 3

The Storming, Burning, Reflecting, Flaming, Sabotaging Pack - $13.49 ($8.49 after coupon) contains:

Bulletstorm
Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box
Mercenaries 2: World in Flames
Mirror's Edge
The Saboteur

THQ has the same $5 coupon today only for those who purchased a product from the publisher in 2012. There's the Tantalizing THQ Medley ($9.99 or $4.99 w/coupon) and the Darksiders 2 Franchise ($13.19).

You may not receive your promotional email from Amazon but if you bought a qualifying game in 2012, your publisher discount will activate. Note you only get one of each qualifying publisher discount regardless of how many EA games or THQ games you bought. Buying ten EA games doesn't get you 10 discounts, it gets you a single one-use discount on an EA game over $9.99.
