Twink - on 49!Follow

#1 Apr 21 2007 at 9:28 AM Rating: Decent
Alright.. I started my priest as a main, but to me, priests simply just flat out after they reached 40 (shadowform). So I decided to twink her on 49 to have some fun in bg. I just have no idea what equips to choose.

I'll be a shadowpriest as they are too good at dmging in the 40-49 brackets to not do so :P

Now to my problems... I have no idea what kinda build and what equip I should get. The highest I've twinked is lvl 19..
Any suggestions, may them be of an uber experienced person or someone just stating his opinion.. Post on!

Alright, I've got my talent build pretty much because of the other thread (didnt notice it before).
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/priest/talents.html?000000000000000000000000000000000000000000050252510251100051500

I took shadow focus and shadow power over misery and imp. ve cause I think either of those will be worth it. I've been bging a few times by now and if it wasn't by accident I never used VE at all. They drop too fast to be worth it imo. Misery, well the same here. 5% might be good, however will it be worth it if they drop so fast? - If it is, would it be worth dropping 2 Shadow Focus and 3 Shadow Power to get it up to 5 again? I have my doubts ;/

My main concern is equip now tho... Should I be using PvP rewards wherever I can? (belt, boots, 1 of the rings, armlets [epic ones =O]) And what about the rest?

Thanks in advance

Hey Schweizi,

Rune of Perfection
get this, with this and shadow focus no one will resist your speels.
If you find things are going fine then you can move 1 or 2 TPs off shadow focus and this trinket will make up for the missing TPs.

this is not the same thing,
OLD Rune of Perfection I don't know if they stack, but you can wear both at the same time, I'll get back to you on that one...

"...drop so fast" so you interest is speed, your focus on mind blast shows that too.
Shadow weaving is very slow, more so then misery.

think for it like this...

With Shadow weaving
Pain *1, mind blast *1.03, Flay *1.06 Flay *1.09

With Misery
Pain *1, mind blast *1.05, Flay *1.05 Flay *1.05

let all damage = 100

With Shadow weaving
100 *1 +100 *1.03 +100 *1.06 +100 *1.09
100 +103 +106 +109
518 total damage

With Misery
100 *1 +100 *1.05 +100 *1.05 +100 *1.05
100 +105 +105 +105
515 total damage

you can see here how weaving needs 4 spells befor it's doing the same damage as misery. If you find that the fight is over befor 4 spells (8 sec in this case) then misery is better for you.
I was thinking some thing like this with no tp on weaving and only 4 on misery as they are both to slow. But if you want to move 1 or 2 back to shadow focus that would be cool too, :)

Oh yea.. totally forgot that SW needs a lot of time to be effective too. I've just been using it for a long time so I guess thats why :P - Thanks for pointing that out.

Was gonna get the trinket either way, tho mainly just to be using one... lol

Either way, thanks a lot for ur advices
