I'm guessing you meant "without"?

I don't have enough marketable skills to risk that.

I don't know how much what you do is needed on Hawaii but it sounds like a smart move to move on.

So wait, are you quitting with another job lined up, or heading into unemployment?

Because I'd suggest sticking it out while you do the job hunting stuff.

Kind of depends on how wanted his skills are. If you can give your 2 weeks notice and you're sure you can get a new job within 2 or 3 weeks it's nice to be able to start as soon as possible.

Yeah, but is it worth wagering on?

Any employer who would take issue with a 2 week wait for you to start is an employer you almost certainly don't want to be working for in the first place.

Plus, having an established income lets you be discerning. When you have money coming in, you can actually wait for the job offer you want, rather than feel pressured into accepting something less beneficial.

I definitely agree.

If the worst he can say about the current job is that it's boring and doesn't pay enough, I say stay until he has something new.

Yeah, I've never quit a job without having a new one lined up. That's just a bad idea I think.

Happy birthday to me!!! Smiley: grin

Congratulations on making it another year, now go out and try to sabotage your liver. Or orifices. Or both.

You know when you are so ******* tired you're almost falling asleep behind your pc so then you go to bed and stare at your ceiling for hours?

I ******* hate it when that happens. I was dozing off almost 2 hours ago and I can't keep my eyes closed now that I'm in bed.

A glass of milk, melatonin supplement, reading until I pass out, those are my three methods to help me fall asleep.

Hawaii is expensive. Bet you could do the same job here and live comfortably.

I've never done this. In addition to the reasons digg set out, I'd be concerned about having a gap on my resume.

Of course, if you're awesome then resumes don't matter.

But without living in Hawaii and that's a pretty cool perk to a job.

I imagine it's pretty cool to live there, although it wouldn't really be something for me.

So where would you move, given the option to move wherever?
