PS2 Playonline Install help

I recently had to replace my PS2 w/ another one I aquired from a co-worker so that i could play FFXI on ps2. Problem is he wasnt much for 11 and removed it from HDD. well now Im trying to install playonline and I'm getting the message "Cannot Read Disk." but I can put IN FFXI Install disk and reads fine.
Ive looked and cant find much about this any help would be appriciated.

Did you check the bottom of the disk? If it has wear and tear throw some windex on it and very carefully clean from the inside of the disk out. Otherwise if your co-worker still has their install disk have them give them to you. They sure don't need them.

yes he did give me his disks, which is the one i tried to use first to install, but then i tried mine and other friends and they all came up "Cannot read disk"
I noticed that the playonline install disk has the blue bottom style.
