If you have your PS2 connected via a cat5e or other grade wire it should work providing you put in all your configurations properly for your PS2.

The only really three areas which determines if you will be able to connect or not.

1) Connectivity either wireless or wired
2) Permissions
3) Correct IP/DNS information

There is also some cases where PS2 don't play nice with certain routers however I have never seen that myself personally as they should all work if you configured your router right.

Double check your settings both on the router and also your PS2, if that fails do a check with a wire directly to your modem to see if you have a bad network adapter.

hmm? what is cat5e?

My laptop has WNIC. My laptop can connect to my dad's wireless router. So I turned off my WNIC. Then I tried to connect my laptop to my wireless router with ethernet cable but it was not successful. My dad's wireless router and my wireless router are different DCHP address.

So my wireless router can't get Acess Point from my dad's wireless router? And any suggestion?
