Well they finally did it. I can no longer feel safe surfing the internet at work, they are monitoring and blocking all my websites. I have tried several proxy servers and it seems they know about them or find out when I log onto them.

Help, please

If you are going thru their system your screwed. The only way to get around that is to use a wireless connection outside your company's control.

I would ask yourself it it's worth your job as in some company contracts it does state that you can be released for visiting websites which are not directly work related.

I got nailed for this once myself after using a proxy to try and redirect some internet traffic so I could do some research for work. However that research involved some less then ethical computer use in the area's of backdoor access to certain server revisions.

If they are blocking websites from the firewall, which I assume they are, then even a proxy server won't really help.

But do not fear, there might be a way even still!

Assuming that surfing pron is worth your job, you can setup a home PC as a RDP server and connect to it from work with an RDP client, assuming that your place of employment doesn't have the RDP port shut down (which depending on how good your IT security folks are, may or may not be the case). If you _can_ access your RDP server from home you can surf from your home PC while at work.

Of course if they're watching the firewall logs they'll know you're using RDP and probably shut that down also. Or fire you for violating the IT policy.
