This isn't meant to be a clone of our original logo.

Black tees from Cafe Press unfortunately do not come with anything on the back right now, so this logo is only for light colored shirts.

Then why not use an actual printing company instead of Cafe Press? Let's face it, they suck except for a few items. T-Shirts on CP blow.

I think the general consensus is ditch the wizard and stick with the regular Dagger Allakhazam logo. I like the Knowledge is Power as well. See OP.

The wizard looks like sh'it, and not regular **** but more like that green sh'it a dog has after it eats grass. I know someone put their heart into drawing it, which only makes pointing out the fact that it truly and undeniably sucks *** all the more enjoyable.

Here's an idea. Kaelesh already stated it but I don't have the slightest f'ucking clue who he is so I will present it as my own; use the easy and recognizable trade logo you have sported for years upon years and not some gay *** wizard with a slogan that hasn't been actively used or brandished on your website for 2 years.

Keep the Knowledge is Power line, but drop the period.

Get rid of the wizard...definately.

Otherwise, I like it.

I'M NOT GONNA BUY ONE BECAUSE IGE OWNS ALLA AND I DON'T WANT TO PAY RMT. (YES I know IGE got bought by or sold or w/e so don't bother responding with anything to do with this)

Seriously though, I don't think it looks too good. Didn't you have some art competition thing for this? annnnnd this was the best there was? TBH with you I wouldn't wear something like that out in public.

Don't kid yourself, I'd be more than happy to degrease my engine with this shirt.

Smiley: laugh

I actually pictured myself mowing the lawn with this shirt on. But only because I'm white & nerdy.

My apologies to the unnamed persons but if I showed you some of the entries I got you'd gladly buy 10 of these shirts.

Pics for enjoyment. Anonymity is fine, but college is boring.

Also, I agree with the majority of posters here. The wizard is too cliche (forgive the lack of accent) and it would be better with another style. I think the main problem I have with it is the hat. If the guy was stood on a rock with his staff held high and surrounded in blazing fire, I'd buy it. As it is, it seems a little stereotypically dreary.

In saying that though, I have seen many many worse shirts and by no means should the negative reactions of the posters affect the production of what could ulimately be a very good thing for Allakhazam.

I agree, I don't really care for the wizard all that much. However I am excited to see you guys coming up with t-shirts, I'll be getting one for sure Smiley: thumbsup

Like it has been mentioned before, this was just an option. To give more choices. Some people around here like wizards.

My personal preference is a lady's classic T or a ladies fitted golf shirt with a collar. I prefer the Allakhazam.com logo embroidered on the left side. That's it, plain and simple.

If you wanted to keep the "knowledge is power' line, perhaps you should stylize it a bit... make fit in with the wizard; perhaps something as simple as raising the pitch of the first letters, like this:

Knowledge Is Power

Also, perhaps your should increase the size the wizard by 100% and offset him to the left a bit. Make his hand appear to be coming around the left limb of the elipse, and the glowing head of the staff looming over the upper right limb.

The way it is now, the wizard catches too much attention, drawing it away from the Allakhazam.com and catch phrase. I dont have access to my photoshop on my work computer, but maybe when I get home I'll mess around with it a bit.

I kind of agree with everyone else. The first time I looked at the wizard, I thought to myself, "wtf is that?". Either it's poorly drawn (no offense to the creator) or I just don't like the concept of a wizard, not sure which. I do like the slogan though (with or without period, doesn't matter).

I also was expecting the site logo, and would be disappointed if it were to not make it on a shirt (I'd buy the shirt if that were the only thing on it!).

I would totally buy that T-shirt if you changed "Knowledge is Power" to, "I put on my robe and wizard hat..."
#41 May 02 2007 at 6:50 PM Rating: Decent
You could have the site logo on the front (daggers+Magical Realm) and have the text "Knowledge is Power" on the back.
#42 May 02 2007 at 10:05 PM Rating: Good
I agree with most everyone else.

I like the tag line because it fits really well with what you do, but the period definitely has to go. Periods in graphic design are generally used only when the statement is by itself, with no graphics or other text.

I don't like the wizard, but not because of how it looks itself. It's a fine drawing, but I agree that I wouldn't buy a shirt with a bright character on it like that. I definitely prefer simpler designs, and the wizard just makes it seem cheesy.

Wasn't the whole "Knowledge is Power" slogan used for something like PSA announcements regarding bullies and stuff like that during saturday morning cartoons back in the day? Maybe I'm way off base here. Regardless, the slogan is kinda lame.

"Knowledge is power, guard it well."

One of my favorite quotes from Warhammer 40,000. As is the following:

"An open mind is like a fortress with its gates unbarred and unguarded."

Agreed. The wizard doesn't work well here. I like the idea of using Allakhazam's avatar as an image.
#48 May 03 2007 at 2:53 AM Rating: Good
Yes was that really the best of the best of all the art comp. pictures pikko? *cough*postsomeoftheotherentriesplease*cough* I also think Alla's avatar image would be cool.
#49 May 03 2007 at 2:56 AM Rating: Decent
In all fairness to the artist it isn't bad as far as art goes. It just doesn't work for the shirt.
#50 May 03 2007 at 3:26 AM Rating: Good
Well yes that is true Doug I'm just trying to squeeze some of the other entries out of Pikko XD.

That doesn't necessarily preclude the Saturday morning cartoon commercials back in the day. Just sayin'

I seem to have an image stuck in my head of pre-pubescent children pumping their fists in the air and saying in their squeeky balls haven't dropped voice...

Ahhh well. Maybe it's just an acid flashback.
