whats your chara name?

i'm not sure making a religion-based linkshell is a good idea. there are lots of issues with it that have been a plague to mankind, and might inevitably cause an uproar in future.

maybe just invite people you know who have similar goals/ideals in game and don't cuss half as much? your friendlist is probably a good place to start looking for potential members. :)

oh, and i like the LS name. ^^

Im sorry, im not trying to sound like an ***, if i am a appologise, but..

Religion has no place in this game, theres so many, and they almost all worship something different, all i can see this leading to is something like religion bashing...(Zerokool and his gaybashing comes to mind) and all thats gonna do is cause problems :S

I don't think hes creating this shell to be evangelistic. Just as a way to get around all the normal cussing and childish behaviors of people. Basically I see there being nly a couple rules...

1. No cussing
2. No sexual emotes (those are so annoying).
3. Break any of the above rules more than 1 time, and get booted.

I think its a great idea, just wish I was still on cerberus ^^.

Heh, considering how some threads have gone in the past, the responses thus far have been less than anticipated. Usually, when people hear "Christian <anything>" they tend to freak a little, thinking it's somehow cultish (even some Christians themselves, which is really funny).

Chinqlinq, Warf, and Shavedkitty have come pretty close to the mark, though. It's all about fellowship with others, based on Proverbs 27:17. If I really wanted to Evangelize, I'd start spamming the forums.

Really, it's no different than an all Mithra LS, or an all Taru LS, etc... Although, I don't really expect it to become that large, simply given the age of the average player. If it ever hit 20 people, I'd be bloody impressed.

EDIT: Fixed a stupid typo that I didn't catch unril Warf pointed it out to me. DOH!

i wasn't bashing his idea. and i think he knows i wasn't. :) i was just saying that focusing on playing with people he liked would probably be a better foundation to build his ls on. and it may just be that all his friends are christians!

Though, i must highlight that by this segregation, some people might be offended by the manner in which it is implied that christians don't cuss (cos i know a lot who do) and that others cuss like hell (which they don't, cos i've met many non-cussing non-christians).

that's what i meant by potential problems when it becomes religion based. it's worse still considering that it parallels real-life problems. *points to the newspaper reports on terrorism* *points to racial riot reports* *points to ethnic cleansing historic events* it's like reopening an already open pandora's box.

who knows, soon there'll be more ls-ls rivalry (not that there isn't already enough of it) and maybe ballista's will be more hotly participated in. hmm... on second thoughts maybe the idea ain't so bad. LOL

I totally see where you are coming from wanting this sort of shell.

My shell is composed of very opened minded folks, some of which happen to be gay and bi. It allows for a free flow of discussion without having to worry about what anyone thinks.

My office happens to be predominantly Christian 99% of the conversation happens to be about God and Jesus and being saved, meanwhile I sit at my desk, a reformed Catholic, having to hear day in and day out, that if you haven't been saved, you're not going to heaven. It's times like this that I wish I had a "life" linkshell and could tune them all out and talk about my life events. But of course, I can't, so I spend my day talking to you folks.

Good luck to you with your shell!! You're obviously not as "fire and brimstone" as my co-workers... I get poked at becuase I play video games!
