Hume Male RSE Thursday NightFollow

The schedule for Hume Males to get RSE is this coming Thursday from around 6:00 pm until around 1 AM Friday (Central Time). I am very much in need of my leg and feet RSE pieces and I am wondering if anyone is interested in helping me do this quest.

I was thinking we could work on getting our keys starting Thursday afternoon, then go chest hunting Thursday night. Unfortunately I don't have my computer set up on my campus yet, and I'll have to do some configs before I will have it all set up to play, and *hopefully* I can get that done by tomorrow night (my computer is still in transit via UPS ><).

Anyway, I am a 38 RDM, so I won't be a burden for the fights, but most of the mobs in Gusgen Mines are aggro to me (all are Easy Prey), and all of the key-droppers put up a mean fight.

Anyway, let me know if you are a reasonable level to come (no level 27 leeches please) and get your magical pattern, and you must promise to stay and help until everyone gets their piece. ALSO: If you are another race/gender, please let the male humes get their keys first. I will be happy to healp you get keys when it is your time, but in this case let us get ours for now.

Thanks!

Anyway, in general, if anyone wants to get together and do RSEs for male humes, let me know because that is kinda the next thing on my goal list. Normally I do quests solo, but I won't be able to handle this one for a few levels on my own.

I'm in, if you see me. Nothing on the first floor aggroes, but I've never been below the first so...

I know a good spot in Gusgen to get keys. If you have your own sneak/invis send me a tell. If I'm not busy I can help you get keys. I can't guarantee I'll have much time for the chest hunt though, but sneak/invis makes that easy. I kind of want to see how much damage I can do to those mobs now anyways. :-)

Okay, Leetfade, I'll send you a tell when the time comes (Nov. 7, 6:00pm), but you don't have to feel obligated to help, unless you are on and you really want to.

Also, I know that many of the bones drop keys, and you should rip those to shreds as a MNK. Also, since I would get aggro in the lower levels (it is mostly Easy Prey-Decent Challenge), I'll just keep Sneak up all the time so we don't get crazy linkage. You don't really need Invis unless you are in the bomb room...

Yeah you should only need sneak. The best place for keys is just before the bomb room though. LoL. The mushrooms on that ramp seem to have the best key drop rate. I'll make sure to sub THF to expedite the process. Less damage, but less kills needed. :-)

Scratch this idea... my computer got shipped to me today but I think something happened in transit... it won't boot to Windows from the startup screen. Keeps saying something like "restart and configure boot menu or insert boot disk and press any button" or something like that... anyway, I need to get it checked out. I already ran the config menu a few dozen times and made sure the thing was trying to boot WIndows from my hard drive... made sure all my cables were secure inside the beast. Anyway, looks like it's time to put that 2-year warranty to good use.

Anyway, it doesn't look like I'll be ready to play by November 7th... maybe next time around or something. I only hope I get on before November 18th, because that is when my 3-months-after-I-cancelled-my-subscription time ends, and after that my beloved character is gone forever (Unless the e-mail I sent to customer service elicits a favorable reply)!

Well that sux. Does it have to boot off an OS cd for initial install?

Anyways, when you get it set up, see if you can find a time in Ordelle's Caves. That's by far my favorite place for RSE.

I really would not know... the PC came with Windows XP already installed, and I think the Hard Drive got shaken up when I had it shipped (since it normally boots to Win XP off the Hard Drive). If I had known better I would have taken the Hard Drive out and shipped it separately, or carried it up here myself. In either case, I don't have an installation CD, but I do have my system recovery disks, which aren't doing anything.

In any case, I think what is going to happen is that I'll need to replace the Hard Drive... in which case I'll have to re-install a new copy of FFXI. I am currently in negotiations with SE as to whether or not I can recover my character if that is the case. If I can't recover him, I probably will not be playing this game anymore. Well, I might. After all, I already ordered my copy of CoP and it is on the way here. I just hate the idea of having to start over from level 1 again with no fame and having to do all the important quests again ><.
