I goto look at how much equiping NIN and/or THF would be....500k for Emperor's Hairpin and 480k for Leaping Boots... Are people out of their ******* minds? +3 AGI/DEX is not worth 1 million gil... Gil sellers have nothing to do with this...things like this makes me want to quit all together

It's not all the gil sellers fault~

Sure they may have hiked the price, BUT, people continued to hike it. PEOPLE, raised the price. Normal players who cashed in.

...BTW you mean +6/+6 DEX/AGI(hairpin + boots)

Yup, and I thought I made out like a bandit with I sold my boots for 350... Makes me wish I held onto them I could really use that 130k right now... Crazy people...

And like you said Rusashi it's the fault of whoever is willing to pay those prices. Why someone would is quite far and beyond me. Heck I barely want to think about buying Mary's Horn which is only like 100k...

Monster Signa's used to be like 80k when a few of my Local Buddies were playing, and I Told them I sold one for 350k, they about **** themselfs.

It's all Supply and Demand. I Put the Signa up for 131,000, and got 150k, as it Avg Sells for in the last 4 sales.

It's not Just gilsellers, it's also players who have been around and high level Chars to get the "Big ****", as for the Signa, my Gf and I got Lucky on Thanksgiving night ^.^

I've seen it range from 80k and up at times. Ive been playing FF for about 1 yr now. And i was in a LS that had pps who were already in there 50's and 60's and they use to tlak about VE pins and all the other goodies in FF when they thought 80-200k was alot.Plus me and Pico are in the same LS and we talk about items in AH a number of times....i mean..things go up and go down. There was a time when Leaping Boots were no more then 180k etc...And so on. anywho. laters^^

That's what I've been saying, people need to make more intelligent decisions, its not all because of gillsellers. Take a look at my thread further down on this forum: Gillsellers VS Economy Boom

Actually, the very reason that normal people are jacking the prices of these items could easily be because of the inflation that the gilsellers are causing. The non-gilsellers increasing the prices may just feel as though gil isn't worth as much as it used to be, and thus feel that they should get more of a reward for their efforts.

And besides, no matter what the true cause, they're doing the rational thing. If someone sees some way to make a profit in a free-market economy like the one in FFXI, then they will, usually by raising the price on whatever they're selling. The only way that the prices can be lowered again is an organized boycott, and that is something that is extremely unlikely to happen.

So, people (well, the sellers, at least) *are* making intelligent decisions. It's the people who buy the items anyway for the inflated prices who need to think things over. And the gil sellers still need to be dealt with, because they're the most likely cause of the whole bloody thing.

Lalryn's posts on that thread elaborate on the subject much further. Go take a look if you're interested; it's a very good perspective into the extent of the gilselling problem, and the problem has wider-reaching repercussions than you might think.

As Aor Said, pretty much right After the NA Release, and for a couple months after, the Signa was an 80-120k Item from what I recall.

Btw, Speaking of Hikes, I Love whoever tried to Up Mary's Horn 30k. I gave up @ 150k, Nice try tho :P
