i was just browsing the internets and looking at some FFXI related stuff and something occurred to me: why does it seem that shiva is in the ******* stone age still when it comes to accomplishments? other servers are spawning absolute virtue and have NA LSs who actually fight over claiming Vrtra while the biggest news on our server was who claimed fafhogg. ive seen screenshots of players toting some of the best gear in the game and LSs who have a majority of their members packing fully upgraded relic weapons. this is not a **** shiva thread or anything. i wouldnt leave this server even if i could. im just wondering what the deal is with us being so far behind. any thoughts?
P.S dont say greedy NA linkshells who are full of selfish ********. I KNOW THIS ALREADY AND I FEAR IT WILL NEVER CHANGE. im looking for other answers lol

uh not on our server lol. cant even remember what server some of these LSs are on now. i was speaking in broad terms. i suppose i could dig around for the names again.
It could be that we're just a laid back kind of people. We spend more time hanging out with friends rather than worrying about getting end game stuff completed as soon as we can.
Either that or we're a bunch of lazy sods and can't be bothered.

Anyway, while we're behind other servers in powerhouse LS's, we're ahead in fair LS's. There is a LOT less botting and MPKing on our server than most others. Also, our prices are a lot more fair than most other servers. Some servers have never had SH sell for as low as ours sells, which is currently at a server high (since NA release at least).
We're a very civil server compared to most others.

All the other servers are pretty much doing their work for us. It's because of their 'pioneering spirit' that everything in-game will be mapped out for us, and we can reap the rewards.

I think my friend said, Shiva is one of the oldes server. And Majority of the people are JP. Other server started after FFXI lauched in NA. I guess that`s the reason. Alla is more for NA or english speaking people. I am sure some JP in our server has done something like that before. But just not posting here. I also remember my friend said some of the HNM (long long time ago) was first killed by JP in Shiva. We did have a lot of FIRST compare to other server.
P.s. I started really late. I start on the same day when COP launch and I remember we have a few days delay because of the hurricane down south slowed down all the shipment or whatever lol.. So, it`s almost a year ago, or little bit more.

hey guys. yea ide say this server is alittle slow. im not saying the server sucks. i kinda like it. i just moved over to this server with a bunch of friends. and i was amazed. i came from Fairy server. 70% of u guys think your prices are insane. from my point of view they are the best ive EVER seen. and yes there are full LS`s with relic weapons and there are insane hnm LS`s that camp nm`s like its their jobs. they all have the best gear and know what their doing BECAUSE they have that much free time to beat off to a game and not work or go to school. yes you guys are more of a laid back sever. but thats fine. ^_^
I would say the majority of people that I've met on Shiva are more down to Earth. Grats on becoming a Shivian.
I know of two people with full relic upgrades on Shiva, both bards. We are just not as vocal as other servers.
With the new zones they are adding, relic upgrades will become more common, prices of currency will go down.
As far as I know, I was the first person on any server to create a Shotel, when I posted it I was instantly rated down to Karma -400 for posting a hoax. I had to place it on the Auction House and my Karma rate recovered.
I had to drag people kicking and screaming into sea, because the sea gods are a pain in the ***, with low drop rates. Nobody wants to invest 3+ hours killing them, and another 12+ hours farming for pop items. Nobody minds a challenge, people mind a challenge that takes 15 hours of prep work.

I don't think we're that behind as a server really. The whole NA endgame scene was heavily held back due to a long history of botting and monopolization, so we had a rough start XD but eventually after the claim patch we've worked our way up pretty damn fast.
Theres like 4 or more LS that can win the endgame wyrms and the King camps are always crowded with many ls that have no problem winning. Despite our playing catchup alot of people are in sea its just that theres not that much to actually DO there =/. Relic weapons on our server are fully upgraded katana and sword, and I know of about 3-4 that are on last upgrade.
We do have a pretty laid back community though, and that's the way I would want it to stay =D.

i know for a fact we have katana, sword, horn, knife. those are the only ones ive seen with my own 2 eyes. but then again i dont think any of them were NAs lol
Who has horn? I know of the other weapons, all JP.
I think Dillinja might be closest NA to stage 5 relic, katana for him. Maybe Kato though? Not 100% I don't know them all =/
