Hi everyone, Krogenar here, from the LOTB linkshell.
If you're like me you've probably been excited by the idea of the new 'Besieged' events, but have been horribly let down by the event itself. Here's how it's gone for me the last few times I've been involved in the event:
600 people show up in Al Zahbi, and wait at the gate for the evil hordes to show up. We wait. Then we wait some more. People group up, the graphics get choppy as people buff in droves.
Finally, they're here!
I see a few mobs spawn in the city square, and then it's like I'm doing water-aerobics. I see these mobs, then the mad scramble of bodies, and within about 30 seconds they mobs disintegrate. I barely get even an axe swing in on one, and the event is over.
Then, everyone warps and tele's out of the square.
I'm sorry, but that kinda sucks. With so many people already there, ready to kill something, why leave? I propose that the next time Besieged is a joke, we all band together as a mob and sack one of the enemy cities for ***** and giggles. Instead of 600+ people vanishing into the ether, and getting back on the XP treadmill, let's saddle up and trash an enemy city.
The new zones are packed with truesight mobs, chigoes and other annoying creatures, so let's go as our own little army and crush the enemy, purely for kicks. I mean, we're already there at the gate -- it'd be pretty easy for us to all head outside and just do it.
So who's with me!?
