Hi Kenshyn hows it going??? And wow 40+ blu rocks!
At any rate, here's whats up with my blu thus far...
1) I solo'd Death Ray, did so at Ranguemont Pass off the Hecteyes there. Bludgeon took care of the work nicely.
2) Frightful Roar I hear is best to get at the Sacrarium. The people at the blue mage forums are saying that. I am definitely interested in going to this whenever you plan it.
3) I'd reccomend getting Stinking Gas at Garlaige.... one person thats 75 can take it for the blue mages that need it since I believe theyre still EP to 75. I heard about this cause a coffer pt did that and took a BLU along. The Blue Mage still got the spell. In short, if the players are true and honest, that means if they already have the spell, they should help their fellow BLUs and be their 75 job to help out.
4) Venom Shell was not mentioned. This one is hell and I took a 40 black mage along. I went through at least 5 stacks of antidotes to get it. Not to mention, I met another Blue Mage at 37 there. He got the spell as well while helping each other out.
I am definitely interested for sure. I still don't mind helping out. Give me a holla and we'll see whats up. I'm 42 BLU atm. I know I'm going to need the help, especially for 1000 needles, voracious trunk, etc. We pt'd before so you know I'm speaking the truth.

I just wanted to say that this is just the topic that I was looking for:) Currently I'm only at 19 and am still able to solo a few more spells but this might be a good thread to build on for all those BLU's who're trying to get those spells that are just a bit out of reach or you just would like to have some company just to see how pissah the same spells look when done at the same time>>bludgeon looks mad cool^^ I definitely plan on posting as well as looking for any BLU's to receive or give assisstance to. Man I love this job!
I have to give a wonderful thank you to Kenshyn, Kramer, Odies, Stealth, Calli, and everyone else that came to help with my obtaining Refueling, Jettatura, Mandibular Bite, Sickle Slash, Stinking Gas and Magnetite Cloud.

I've been reading it on other boards... People's luck with getting Frightful Roar in Phomiuna is worse than your getting Refueling the other day. Since you're only on the Diabolos mission, its probably best that you get past that asap.

We went on Saturday for Frtightful roar in Sacrium. It was Kaolla, Thiefninja, Probian, Callipho and Myself. We all got it in 1/1-1/4 viewings of it, very easy. You just might want to watchout for when he casts Morbid Ray and turn your backs.
Well, since I'm also heading towards 50.... Now I'm 45... we may want to do a Frightful Roar run in Sacrarium.... anyone wanting to go, let me know.
Looks like I may have to pass on frightful roar in sac no access. Maybe I will try the PA heck atleast I can get some xp lol.

Looks like subbing Bst is an option to make this easier:
This doesn't sound too difficult. Just make sure your BST is at least lvl 40, buff up, and try to grab one of the DC slimes right by the entrance. Taurus go down fast to slimes, so it shouldnt be much of a problem. Try to go for the one closest to the entrance because if you run away you have a good chance it will lose aggressiveness towards you. That is how I managed to charm the Oil Slicks to get my Gaudy Harness. Good luck.

You can also you the pugils to fight the Taurus mobs near the entrance with a lot less hassle. Slimes are hard enough to charm as BST main. The 3 Taurus closest to the entrance are only DC, and usually 2 pugs can handle one if they don't get doomed. BTW, usually if you are standing in this formation "Taurus-> <-Pet <-You-> you can heel your pet when you see the Taurus readies Doom and your pet will turn around in time and not be affected by it.

To get {Venon Shell} I subbed bst and it was a breeze I could have avoided using antidotes at all if I would have known about that strategy earlier.
My story on VS:
Had it rough then tried subbing my all of 30 Bst and viola it became easy mode as a 43Blu/21 Bst I was able to charm DC toucans(Bird) but they went down hard so I logged then I decide to use a ep Jagil (pugil) it must have been immune to the poison it kicked pure **** and hardly ever took any damage. I just stayed at max range using no more than 2 antidotes because I waited to move out of aoe range to get an extra range attack off. I swear my charm was better as a blu then it ever was as a bst lol maybe something to it maybe not all I can say is it was sweet to have {Venom Shell} O.....

I can see the future of getting some of our spells is just going to be HECK ><;;. So much fun to play but man some spells are insane to get and maybe never even get used.......
Ive been using Frightful Roar as of late and it seems to make a difference. The spells and their combos are meant for different scenarios. Thats all it is. You'll be able to use them all.
Atm, going for Magic Fruit and Light of Penance.... 52 blu atm.

Just wanted to emphasize having a level 75 Beastmaster or any level 75 in your party for any spell of any level helping out spell farming is nothing but <3.....
You don't need to gain XP from mob to learn BLU spells.
The mob can either be Too Weak to start with, or can be any level and you are in a PT with a high lvl who kills your XP.

My case and point stems from Feather Barrier yesterday. Yes, I did get it... and I thank you and Jupiter for that, but do you know how long it took me to get that? I've tried for about three days now.
Day 1, tried with a 75 thf in the Valley of Sorrows, no dice
Day 2, tried soloing, got pwned. Tried again with the 75 thf in Valley of Sorrows, no dice.
Day 3, got Feather Barrier when I was in an all blu pt with you and Jupiter.
While those pics are proof its still amazing to see SE lying to us about learning off too weaks.

Feather Barrier is easily soloable in Miseraux Coast of the Birds near Sacrium enterance. I ended up going 1/2 on it and got some exp while at it.
I dare you to try soloing at 52 ^.-
Dude I did it myself with digest SE didnt lie bro the translation is incorrect what the actual saying is this is that you must be in physical feet range when the mob dies that you wouldn't get the message your out of experience range. The you cant get experience message because your out of range and that is the same range in feet you stop being able to learn the spell.
Like I said I was fighting and oil slick at like level 30+ the slick was at most a lvl9 and I learned the spell. So it was TW big time I was using H2H to feed TP and viola got it. This has been posted over many forums.

I didnt learn feather barrier just random or 5 level after 50 as well just like in an alliance I was last to learn refueling it is all Random and SE just has bad JP-ENG translators period.

Today my gf (75 blm) was helping me get Claw Cyclone in Jugner Forest. We weren't pt'd up at the time but she was just curing me. After my first tiger, I learend the ability and then we pt'd up so she could D2 me. I decided to test out the new ability on a Goblin and so she stuned it and I started to fight it. Next thing I know, it does bomb toss, and then I kill it and in the log it says I learned bomb toss. At this time I am currently a 21 blue mage, so yes you can learn abilities with a higher level in your pt. We tested this again with a pugil in jugner forest again afterwards... Learned screwdriver on the first attempt. We are gonna try some more spells right now

i can also confirm learning spells while high lvl in party have got almost all my spells with high lvl in party at lvl 9 i had all my spells up to lvl 18 i am currently lvl 33 blue and last night i got death ray MP drainkiss and jet stream i already had smite of rage and grand slam and sound blast at lvl 29....i got those spells last night with 68 rdm 35 blue 61 whm 33 blue (me) the only other spell the other blue got besides me was digest but im going to work on that today good luck to you other blue mages i love it it rocks ^^

The spells past 60+ are ones where most of them are needed with either 2 blues+ or a 75+ tank.... especially for Voracious Trunk....
Sea Mobs are at 70+ though (Ram Charge and Heat Breath being the only 2 spells past 71 you can obtain presently...), so you may want to start up on doing CoP.... As should most other Blues, especially for doing Disseverment and Darkness chains.

Yeah I do SEE the need for SEA ><;; and getting BLU to that level will force my hand I am sure. Hopefully with all my jobs above 50 I can get a static to rock it out.
